EJ, definitely. Bernie is unpalatable but has intelligence.

I'm not a fan of either much although not quite to the level Martin dislikes EJ.
Personally I think Bernie is very intelligent but has had his time in F1. If they brought Ross Brawn into replace him that would be a very good thing in my opinion.

Another top weekend from Lewis, pole and the win. Unfortunately Rosberg keeps taking second Max says he saw no difference in what he did tio what happened with Lewis at the first corner, basically that Lewis gained an advantage...... I'm actually one of those who thinks it's pretty normal behavior for any one who is of a genuinely competitive nature to moan when things dont quite work out BUT, I do find Vettel a bit much and rather annoying. He moans constantly these day which at times is a bit too intense, disrespectful and aggressive - particularly so today Ricciardo is not happy either with Vettel defending under braking. Whatever, I'm just happy Hamilton got the win and that it isn't over yet

Best moment of the whole thing was seeing Verstappen being asked to leave the podium room.

Superb display by Lewis today and with robbiegong that Vettel's outbursts went a little too far. He is clearly frustrated at Ferrari at the moment but he is behaving like a spoilt brat.
My vote is for Lewis to go to Ferrari in 2018 with Paddy Lowe and Ross Brawn and Vettel to Mercedes... now that would be an interesting situation!

I've just read that Vettel has lost 3rd place due to a retrospective penalty due to "doing a Max" on Ricciado.
www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/37819437
And surely there was doubt on Hamiltons move across the grass at the beginning of the race ? Should have been a penalty !! It was for Max at the end of the race.
I'd like to see a permanent chief race steward for each season to ensure consistency with racing error decisions.
And "potty mouth" Vettel needs to stop whinging and get on with his job.
After all that, I'm getting fed up with F1, I enjoy the technical aspect, even the politics, but mostly the actual racing has me bored. I really hope 2017 gets more exciting like they want it to be.

Blimey! That'll be sweet revenge for Verstappen and compensation for the embarrassment he must have felt being escorted out of the podium room. Vettel on the other hand will likely be spouting even more of his usual Mr Angry expletives....

I didn't think it was comparable as Hamilton did not gain an advantage whereas Verstappen gained a place. Also it was the first corner where rather more latitude tends to be shown. He also clearly locked up and as we later found out this was because his front left brake pad was glazed.

Depends on how you define "gained an advantage".
If there had been a barrier there (like at Monza chicane) then it would have been more fair, the advantage was going off in a big way and not losing any time.
I'm not struck on Hamilton by the way. I think he can have the edge on Rosberg, all other things being equal, but his "lifestyle" has blunted that edge on occasions.

I am one of those people that think Hamilton's lifestyle is irrelevant... if he hadn't had the mechanical issues this year he would be ahead of Rosberg and likely would have secured the Championship by now. Yes the starts haven't helped his cause, but on the whole he has driven well throughout the year.
Dependant on how strong Mercedes are next year, if they are reliable and at the front of the pack, I could see him disappearing into the distance again like in 2015, especially if Rosberg wins the Championship this year (as long as he doesn't allow that to get inside his head too much!).

Had Hamilton been responsible for building his own engines then his lifestyle could be to blame for his current position in the championship. If we're going to talk lifestyles then what about Rosberg? Maybe his lack of racecraft (all too obvious deliberate collisions) might be down to his having a very young child...I mean what's he thinking by becoming a father whilst being a racing driver? Seriously though, people need a life outside of work.

I still think it's had a negative effect though.

Guessed you're 'not struck on him' wonder why ? I'm yet to find one person who has come up with a genuinely legitimate reason why they're 'not struck on him' I've even had ear rings and tattoos spouted on another site as 'a reason' like it's a crime for a guy of 31 to express himself. All that stuf makes me like him more. I dont see anything to really dislike the guy for truth be known. He comes across as quite genuine to me, comes from not much and more importantly is top home grown talent. He takes no notice of the 'haters' so good on him and his family. I'm a fan by the way

Agreed.

Of course I don't really know for sure, but then nobody else does either.

I'm not sure it makes whether or not you have valid reasons for liking/disliking drivers but I'm happy to share my reasons. Ive never liked Hamilton from day one. Like Paul (PJ Downs) I remember seeing him from an early age and disliked him then. He came across as a precocious brat. I felt like he was coddled by Ron Dennis and given massive advantages over other fledgling drivers whilst claiming quite the opposite. I also didn't like this whole marketing stuff he played on about being the first black driver. That was milked heavily. Who cares what colour his skin is? He's either good enough or not. I thought he behaved badly when partnering Alonso and I hated his early driving style. He was too close to Schumacher in going beyond fair means for my liking. I must say I think he's improved a lot in this respect and I no longer have a major issue with his tactics. I disliked his sacking of his own dad, who had sacrificed so much for him. I have repeatedly cringed at his incessant chav-like behaviour and his spoiled brattishness . His recent snapchat hissy-fit was just typical of the man IMO. Finally, I see him as a whiner. Remember his Ali G quote (Cos I is black) when he was keep getting in trouble with the stewards. As far as I'm concerned, F1 has been poorer thanks to his presence. I think the 3 titles he has already flatter him and I sincerely hope he doesn't get any more. If it's ever a toss up between him and Mad Max, I will switch off All just my opinion of course, but there's no law that says we all have to like him.

All strong and clear singularity. I have no facts on anything you've expressed so cant comment on any of it. It's cool though, as all the famous have or have had their fans and those who are otherwise.
