Well Ricciatdo has already bested one petulant over-hyped cry-baby. I look forward to him repeating the trick

That was a very needed pole by Hamilton who dug deep today. Ricciardo also dug deep to get 3rd. Brilliant driving from both of them.

Yep nice one Hamilton, especially as there are reports that he has lost motivation and going on a sabbatical next year... what nonsense!!

Will be supporting Hamilton 100% today, and very interested to see what Verstapen can do among the big boys...

Do we really think Hamilton will mess up yet another start? .........

Or maybe not, judging by Lauda blaming Hamilton. Bias again?

Watching the slo-mos, Rosberg was at fault.

Mercedes were pretty unlucky with that outcome. Many times, the most that would have been lost was a few seconds to the guy who went on the grass. To hit a barrier then collect your team mate is unfortunate. Still loads of points to play for and at least we will have a different car winning a GP.

Definitely Martin. I'm sure Rosberg could see how fast Hamilton was coming up behind him - Hamilton was about to mug him big time. Fair enough for Rosberg to move across to attempt to block, but he should've seen that moving all the way across was only going to end in misery. Lauda was out of order blaming Hamilton, and if the whole inquiry goes against Hamilton, it'll just confirm they don't want Hamilton to win Driver's Championship this year - and if it is true that Rosberg is a confirmed driver for Mercedes next year, then maybe they don't want Hamilton at all.

Hamilton had the door shut on him ! Really wanted him to win BUT once again he's not held on to his pole advantage from start. This is what has again led to an incident that likely would not have occurred if he'd held his start. It's a problem and a factor even when he does manage to secure pole. Not good and going forward!

Not good and going forward! Well it is hard to hold on to your position when Nico had turned up his engine power soon after they started to roll. The SKY guys were showing the telemetry data from Nico. Nico was having some sort of issue. It was not the 1st time that Nico decided to try to take out someone when his car was not quite right.

A very conservative and diplomatic (and not to say disappointing) ending to a race event that Sky built up since the incident over four hours ago (other than Rosberg's underlying intent to blame Hamilton). We want to see the anger and frustrations of these drivers when things go wrong, not hear their corporate script!
It's still early in the season though, and this 'relationship' isn't done and dusted yet!

Nico has the habit of trying to stop Hamilton at any cost. Now that he is leading Hamilton in the points he can afford to have one less race for Hamilton to make up the deficit.

The stewards found neither driver predominantly to blame? Is that for real? Even knowing, at his own admission, that Rosberg was fiddling with his engine modes at the time?
Now that really is a disgraceful decision.

Riciardo got done. The team planned for a three stop strategy. But once it was clear that Verstappen could win the race if Riciardo was hobbled somehow, they called him in for an extra stop. He was fuming, knowing full well that he had been had. Webber used to complain about that as well in the RB team.

Now that really is a disgraceful decision. Rosberg said that his attention wasn't diverted with regards to his engine settings on the steering wheel. That makes it even worse.

Another example of Rosberg being a below par driver in my opinion... He was preoccupied by dealing with his car settings and at the last minute saw Lewis coming and I generally believe probably thought what did he have to lose... hopefully it will be similar outcome after Spa 2014 where Lewis upped his game significantly and took the championship... Rosberg or as I prefer to call him Tossberg doesn't deserve to be a champion!
On the other hand, Max is looking rather hot isn't he, it was a little suss that they brought Riccardo in for the third pit stop and thus ended his chances of winning, but you have to give it to Max, he held his nerve when a lot of people around him would have crumbled!... definite future World Champion.... or I'll seriously consider eating my hat.
