Today before breakfast I was so very happy with : Eric - There's on in every crowd - 1st time for along time after many upgrades - superb. He sounds just like Eric - in his Jamaican phase I guess. Saw him live at Hammersmith around this time. One of the best gigs I have ever seen Country Joe and the Fish - I feel like I'm fixing to die. Possibly their best. Slightly psychedelic. Barry Melton's guitar on some tracks is sublime. Rainer (Ptacek) - The Farm - Can white German/Czech naturalised American boys sing the blues ? - oh yes, so so well I can see my favourite albums being played more and more as this is so so good

Going back to Sarah McLachlan, she is a class act. Never less than compelling, her 2014 album features a couple of excellent songs including Flesh and Blood.

Today has been a tale of two halves the grim reminder that paperwork can burn your soul and that R & D can make the day go so well.
Have been looking for some inductors this afternoon when I came across this buried in the workshop, stuck in the transport and hit play, just forgot how good this album really is.
Some music ages like a fine wine, I feel this is one of those vintages.

Karuna Khyal - 'Alomony 1985' Not from 1985! 1976. Deleriously, gloriously noisy and tuneful and melodious in an industrial Captain Beefheart kind of way.

Spiritualized - Pure Phase
Just arrived via Ebay. Gentle, soothing music and very well made. I'm impressed
Almost ambient, pointing but not going to pop music, hints of classical

Dire Straits - Communiqué
After watching Super Speedway on Blu-ray last night (a superb IMAX film of the IndyCar Newman/Haas team's racing development), where this music is featured, I had to put the vinyl on again. This, for me, has always been Dire Straits' most perfect and complete album.

A somewhat left field choice this morning Paul Weller 22 Dreams, I can see why he went this route with experimental concepts, some are not so good some are classic Weller.
If you have the time worth a spin.
