Bruce Springsteen - 'The Rising' Tis a great album Chris, played it constantly during a holiday to Thailand about 10 years ago, always takes me back there now Stevie Agnew - Wreckin' Yard2013 Debut record from son of Pete Agnew (Nazareth) but it's nothing like Nazareth. One of my finds of 2014, brilliant album which should appeal to Springsteen fans (see what I did there . . . . ) A superb live act too and I love the vocals from Beth Malcolm. (NB: Banjo warning on this album, but not on the clips above . . . . )

Interesting. I'll play those clips in a while Tim. I think its a very mature work for a debut and deserves exploration, I feel you should like it (even the bit of banjo . . . ). We did mention it on AoS after I saw him earlier in the year, but probably got missed. Definitely one of my gem finds of 2014 and he is equally good playing with just a backing lead guitar or a full band. Great raspy voice full of depth and character with some superb songwriting.

The best of Tangerine Dream. I love the first track on this album called "Central Park". The sound reminds me of a theme tune that would have been ideal for Starsky and Hutch

I too found my copy a few years ago in a charity shop too, buried in amongst a pile of Mantovani CDs I was starting to get a bit despondent after 20 minutes searching with my head cranked to one side trying to read the wording on the cases and my pulse raced when I saw this CD there. Snap again when I was so chuffed I put a couple of quid in the charity shaker tin by the till when I paid for it LOL

Miles Davis - 'Ascenseur pour l'échafaud'
Probably one of the most atmospheric pieces of music you'll ever hear - spellbinding.

I tend to put internet radio on while working (7 days a week but I enjoy it so what the hell!)
So energyfm is on mostly which plays classic 80's funk and soul all day.
The programmers have to be my age as youngsters would not have the depth and breadth of knowledge to play what they do.
ALL day its sister sledge, shannon, isley brothers, patrice rushen, freez, luther, etc etc etc. Heaven for me anyway!
