Tube rolling is removing the stock valves and trying different or better quality valves for improved sound.

I know very little about valve amps, but it looks good to me.

Seems a nice enough amp. EL34s sound good and are reasonably priced and are also interchangeable with 6CA7. If you get it factor in a few quid to get it checked over - this is important!! These valve amps can be fire hazards if the electrics aren't right so get it checked by someone in the know. After that listen to it,enjoy it then look to get it modified - these amps respond well to it. I've got some 6CA7s kicking about as well so after you've done all that noise me up,I will post you them and you can start into the murky sordid world of tube rolling....

I'm going to follow this - quite keen to see how you get on. Happy to help in any way.

I've had two Music Angel amps. Both bought used from EBay and failed VERY quickly. The first one, I foolishly invested in new valves for, only to find out it still arced like crazy. It would be ok for about 15 minutes then got progressively worse. The second one (a different model) did exactly the same, so I simply returned it for a refund.
I'm no techie but someone who is, reckoned the transformers were poor quality and simply not geared for 240v. Of course, you will have your EBay money back guarantee but I personally would never touch the brand again.
Edit: I should add that neither were any great shakes sonically. YMMV of course.

Oh dear, that's sort of upset me. The main reason I was going for it was that most of the valve amplifiers on ebay are absolutley massive and will not fit in my rack.

Icon Audio amps are pretty small. So are Audion, especially the mk1s. Those ones I mentioned further up are not full size amps either, My experiences with Music Angel could just have been unlucky, but there have been a few mentions of Chinese 220v amps being troublesome with our 240v mains.
I'm just one individual though and my experiences are just a drop in the ocean. I'd recommend reading other forums to see if others experiences over time are more favourable.
I really don't want to pour cold water on anyone's plans but I should also mention the valves in both Music Angel amps. They were very cheap and you may well have to factor in replacements to get reliability and decent sound. My recent Roth Cocoon purchase also came with Chinese preamp valves which were complete garbage and so microphonous they were unplayable. Replacing them with JJ Teslas made a world of difference.

I have cancelled my offer for the Music Angel, it was more expensive and if reliability is an issue then I have chosen to forget it. Anyway I wrote to them yesterday and they had not replied, so they were not exactly a dynamic seller. I have therefore gone back to plan 'A'. YAQIN MC-84L I've bought one £303 incl P&P. Regarding everyone's advice on the valves, I will certainly consider rolling on them once they arrive, thank you all so much, I'm relieved the Music Angel was not on the way before you gave me the bad news.

Lots of people seem to have used Yaqin amps on forums without issue, so I feel you are on potentially safer ground. I hope you enjoy the amp.

I'd strongly suggest that you still have the mains transformer checked by someone before you use it. Do you have anyone you could get to do it for you?

No idea, stupid I know. Ali would know. They are the two little valves at the front of the Yaqin KT88 I could post a picture, they cost me £25 each and have been used for a couple of weeks
