Just wondering if you're planning to take the unit to shows/bake-offs? I was wondering primarily about NEBO I am indeed planing to take it to NEBO. I'll probably see if anyone in the North east and within easy travelling distance of me would like me to bring it round for a demo.

Oh and the PSU is NOT switch mode.... Not that it would make any difference to the sound as I would use linear regulation after the SMPSU if I did move to a switcher.

Not that I could say which would be better, but I'd bet that you COULD hear the difference between PSUs as they are so critical to the sound.

Not that I could say which would be better, but I'd bet that you COULD hear the difference between PSUs as they are so critical to the sound. That's one area we disagree on then IMO the regulator is very critical, the internal or external PSU that supplies the regulator is much less important. Remember that the regulator itself can reject any noise/hum/interference etc feeding it by a factor of around 10,000,000/1 !! If using a SMPS I use LC filtering and a linear regulator after it, at which point the power is as noise free as that from a linear supply anyway.... and then it would go into the main regulator. Grounding differences and resistance of any plugs and sockets betwixt PSU and main unit are as/more likely to result in differences!

Well... after some further changes I'm very happy with it! The super regulator is now delivering the goods and, though I say so myself, it sounds bloody amazing!! Easily the best I've ever heard......
