The new SECA KIT for the DIY is sounding very nice, PCB's for the Amp and the Dynamic PSU are now available. I had Sam build them and he has now soldering or building experience. These work if copied and pasted in the browser thingy.

I tried fixing them for you, but I suspect they're in a private area. Have you made them public?

It looks to me that the text for the links isn't all within the delimiters, /url or whatever they are. Neat PCBs. I'm very interested!

Quest and told PC I would replace with a "Apple" cox type. Here is photo of the Bass Guitar Amp PCB I designed it is 4 layer and 1KW , I am just about to start building it phew. The maths for the thing was bad enough but use a soldering iron ! I smell burning fingers.

Interesting thread. Anyone interested in a group buy on one of these then doing a step by step build that's photographed and posted?

A TAS amp? Those who buy in get to try it out in their system?

It would also be an excellent "how to" for anyone who wants to DIY it as well. I like the idea of a TAS amp as well.

Interesting thread. Anyone interested in a group buy on one of these then doing a step by step build that's photographed and posted? Yes I would be up building one of these, if I did then I might as well go active. But then what would I do with the monster 40W class A that I'm building now, would I put it on mid range duties, that seems sepulchral a waste, This is where my mind boggles regarding active amplification.

Colin - could you please advise a price for the complete kit?
I'm pretty certain I did see it before in another thread but if you could tell us all again that would be great.
Now - the build....do we start a poll to vote for who builds it!? The best I can do is offer tools and I will quite happily take the pics of the ongoing build. Could probably have the rig welder knock up a case if reqd as well but I would need sizes.
I'm thinking upgrade/tweak parts may be worth considering as well?

The PCB each are £20.00 you will need 2 Amp PCB ie. £40.00 AND PLEASE ALLOW FOR £5.00 p&p 2 PSU at £20.00 each parts will be better if you got them yourself, Parts are standard Maplin, RS, FEC, Radio Shack etc. PLEASE NOTE THE ZENER DIODE D3 IS NOT MOUNTED ON THE PCB THE CATHODE IS SOLDERED DIRECTLY PIN 7 OF U1 AND THE ANODE IS SOLDERED TO PIN 4 OF U1BOM with C9 added thank James.

I was at Colins house today, and I picked up the new Amp boards and PS boards. For the three of you that also want to start the build, you may want to think of the purchase soonish and the boards are beginning to run low
