Not dissimilar to my "get something good from every day" philosophy.
As well as not letting negative people anywhere near me.

A nice review from Paul Rigby on the SECA 20 a newer version of the KIT SECA with beefed up parts and a more complex layout and those horrid micro parts, so you guy that built your own should be very proud of your work well done. theaudiophileman.com/seca-20/

I had one of those 90V batteries. It was great for messing with valves and neons.

It was fun, I had portable valve radio a PYE a bit like this one. From this site link
And Dad bought 7 of these for us kids in the 1960's Xtal set and Radio Luxembourg was on all night. See I am old 14Billion Years. The reason Dad bought them was Mum hated us taking lumps of coal to bed to use with our Cat Whiskers Radio as it made the bed dirty, this is in the day kids before washing machines in every home, just a Mum. She is now 83yrs old and still tells stories of my misadventures to my wife. Mum's can be really wicked at times can't they ?

I loved listening to my crystal radio, with the coil made from a toilet roll and an aerial going outside my room onto the roof.

We used the iron bed frames. The Xtal set were taken away after I made a Long Wave Wave Transmitter and took the Xtal Output listening to Uncle Mac and re-transmitted to then the Home Service my Mum had on every Sunday. The reason being the PO and a Policeman called and fined my Dad and removed all his aerials he was into long range TV then, and not a happy man I was 10yrs old. He was not a Happy Daddy , sorry Dad I miss you.
