Oh yes, if it's a Mac then it will be cmd+, cmd-, cmd0 So it does thanks. Why don't you express yourself by indulging font fun?

Thanks for the tip but it does not work in Chrome on a Mac sorry. I am sure most Windows IE viewers will find it works for them. The ignore setting is great you see nothing whatsoever about the poster, not just their text but who, the whole left side of a post, signature, the lot. As I am currently only ignoring one person it is no mystery who one is ignoring. So far I have resisted any urge to use the Display Post button and if the soul seldom gets quoted their output just isn't there. Good to see the topic being aired. One cannot help but wonder if it will end in tears if it ends at all I've learned to be happy with myself, so I'm not too worried if anyone wants to ignore what I say, it's only a forum about hi-fi for pitys sake. If people do not have the tolerance to accept a little bit of individuality then that's their tough titty. Live, and let live I say.

I tell you what I can't stand: avatars that use moving images. Some of them are mildly amusing the first time you see them, but most are not, and when seen for the 100th time they do pall rather. Font sizes I couldn't care less about. The only thing about fonts that annoys me is the use of Comic Sans for anything remotely 'official'; it just looks naff and amateurish. Even that only scores about 2/10 on the annoyingness scale. I agree with the moving avatars. They can be annoying, although there's one of a kitten on Wigwam that I can't help but like. I also dislike comic sans, just like you do. I just find it too much of an effort to read. I guess if anyone used it on a forum I'd still make the effort if they usually have something worthwhile to say.

What ever happened to Arial? Bit last decade?
Time for some music. I love this one

Now I would've spotted that if they had used a better typeface and a smaller font size

It's the music not the words. This is more fun seeing them being silly and adding lyrics. I love a bit of silly
Wonder if they experience an urge to use different fonts

Although, for me, pressing the Escape key freezes the irritating bustards.

Think I'll go along with that. Animated avatars do smack a little of "Look at me!"

More silliness

Another option is simply to block them using an adblocker - I do this for all avatars that (for whatever reason) grate, and so they never appear at all.

Is there a Spinal Tap setting for fonts?
Moving avatars. Whey man giv ower. What's wrong with a bit of animation? I love gifs. If I could find something decent I'd use one. And it wouldn't be a case of "Look at me. I'm desperate for attention." It would be more a case of "I think this is neat."

Now, if you made that ice cream on your head twirl I'd give you a round of applause.

I've got a chrome add on that stops moving avatars! Now if only there was one for reducing large type.

That would be neat, and if I could I would. A mobile is somewhat limiting, however.

Mine was meant to be a general one.
