Hard for the show to replace him if he goes but he has had plenty of near misses

Tiff Needell or Julian Wilson would be suitable replacements. They have been here before.

Agreed. What did he do this time (assuming it was him)?

Yep, and the money will control any disicion. The question is over what the BBC means by 'Fracas'. Was it a simple argument which is unlikely because presenters and Producers have that all the time, so it must be more involved. Was there extreme language, a complete stand off or even physical violence? It's got to be more serious than a simple disagreement to warrant no further comment pending an enquiry and the cancellation of the broadcast scheduled for Sunday night. Also interesting that up to now, Clarkson has nothing to say!

The BBC News described it as an 'altercation'. It must have been fisticuffs.

Ah, the latest news suggests JC threw a punch at the producer. That kind of gets it in perspective. Still think the money will resolve this and JC will carry on as before.

If the BBC let him go, he'll start a competitive car programme for another channel.

Clarkson is the personification of all that is wrong with i am alright sod the rest of your society , if he was an piece of hifi equipment he would be a £15,ooo LDR . I predict he will be part ways with the bbc.
Furthermore , the programme fails on its own terms these days . It is a poor pastiche of the original programmes that essentially treats the viewer with utter contempt , Norman Mailer said fame is a mask that eats in to your face and it perfectly evident with the 3 plonkers who present that programme .
long may it remain dead .

His audience will follow him wherever he goes. Maybe his 2 mates will as well.
Be good to know what caused the fracas

You are, of course, entitled to that opinion, however wrong it may be. Top Gear is just pure entertainment, and it is VERY popular in MANY countries. 3 plonkers ? I don't think so Daniel. A well matched team who obviously enjoy what they do. That's not to say I condone punching people, but the full facts have yet to be revealed.

Nope , it is a statement of fact .
Do you not believe there a plenty of people who can be pejoratively described as "tits" in England And Scotland . Indeed if most of the people on this forum are to be believed I am one
