I can almost hear the adenoidal trainspotter-ish voice that this was written in, by a man in an anorak, hunched over a candle, in his late mother's kitchen. He didn't even get the name of the program right; unless he thought he was watching Das Boot, and the northern accents confounded him. Whatever the opposite of " the life and soul of the party" is, look no further, because " oldgreybadger-81325" is the (barely) living embodiment of it.
I've just watched e3, and the level of " batshittery" is maintained.

Fire risk! I know what you mean, though. There is something to be said about a ceremony to see someone off but I'd rather it be a celebration of their life than a lot of sniffy sadness. Fire risk? Unattended - by mourners.

Further to my previous post, I've definitely decided that an unattended cremation is the way I (almost literally) want to go. Whatever money I have left, I'd rather let my kids have it than, as I said previously, pay somebody I've never met to tell lies about what a nice bloke I was. Nobody likes funerals, and not having to go to one is the final gift I can give to my friends and family. If they intend having a party I may leave instructions that they play the three pieces of music I chose, unless they want me to haunt their arses. The Mahler will probably piss my son off - he never could get the hang of classical music - but that's just another little bonus I won't be around to see ...or will I???

" Batshit crazy, I love it"Yes, that about sums it up so far! I think the narration is a great touch, and Ólafur Darri Ólafsson does a cracking job of it.

Alien 3 was awful. The only good GWTDT films are the Swedish ones. Did you forget to start that post with "In my opinion..."?

Wow I watched 4 or 5 Aussie films a while back and each one of them was very good. Are the Aussie drama series consistently good as well? I wouldn't say they're consistently good, but the good ones are really good. Off the top of my head... " Troppo" was decent, " Deadloch" started out very average, almost annoying, but saved itself in the second half of the series, " The Black Snow" was worth watching, and " The Tourist" was excellent (and there's a season 2 in the works).

I might have to toss "Alien 3" (all of the "Alien" films in fact) into my movie box too. He didn't make too bad a job of "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" either, and the cast was stellar. I'd still go with the original (Swedish) trilogy though.

I binged the last three episodes of "Scrublands" today, and I'd definitely recommend it.

if I notice that they are the courier for something I want, I’m going to have it delivered to a local collection point to avoid the pain of dealing with failed deliveries to home etc Fingers crossed, let’s see if the current delivery goes smoothly. Good luck. It's not a lot of use to me as the nearest collection point is 4 miles and across a motorway away! Same sort of thing for me, it's not really do-able as it would cost me cab fares there and back.
