That is a meaningless term outside of each persons own definition. Whilst true to a point the same could be said of any adjective - so hardly worth writing.

I own very few CDs and I don't see that changing in the future - so vinyl every time for me (streaming hasn't yet come of age for me). In what way has streaming not come of age? In the sense that I think that there is significant progress that that can be made (or at least I hope there is).

As I remember Jimmy H ended up with large three way Impulse speakers - initially he used these normally, but as suggested earlier, he ended up turning them round and reflecting the sound off the rear wall (or window) of his Barbican located flat.

Yes, I believe he is still in business and now has many competitors making similarly unlikely 'accessories'.

I was at the Munich show the year the Blade was first shown and it caused quite a stir (justifiably) - Mark Levinson amps were used. I've heard it a couple of times since then and recently the Blade 2 (a huge Musical Fidelity integrated was used the last time). I've also heard them demonstrated with large Electrocompaniet amps so power seems to be the linking theme between amps used. I've yet to hear a bad demo of either speaker and I've not been a fan of KEF speakers prior to these (not the sound that is). Looks wise I have no problem with them either.

I doubt the name and logo had much, if any, value as the magazine has not existed for a long time now (a shame as it was fun*). This new version seems to largely be a vehicle to attract paid advertising.
* I well remember Jimmy Hughes and his month by month discovery of DNM and Peter Belt....

I have some digital correction applied to my speakers bass units and am pleased with the results (I also have passive room treatment).

A friend demonstrated Tidal to me recently - I didn't like it at all .

As far as I can see the Hi-Fi Answers website has nothing to do with the magazine other than name and logo.

Yes indeed. The build quality of Neat speakers has always appealed to me but I've always found their posher models to be a bit over 'tweetered' (in sound rather than just quantity of tweeters).

I wonder if this means that Neat will now start using AMT tweeters in the rest of their speakers.

Well recorded too. I've actually had it for ages but I've hardly ever played it. I've just got back from visiting my friend Andrew who is a big PT fan and he played some of it to me and I suddenly realised I rather liked it - so I pulled it out of the 'rarely listened to' pile for a listen - glad I did

Surprisingly (to me) I'm listening to 'Lightbulb Sun' by Porcupine Tree and really rather liking it (loved the first side even)!

Ok, so it's maybe not an ideal way to hear bits of kit, but I love watching YouTube vids of other people's systems on my iPad. I still think you get a good idea of the nature of a sound. I think the videos are fun to watch but I disagree that they give any idea as to the nature of the sound - more a modicum of insight into the use of that microphone in that room.

Yep, I expect so.
I've recently bought the new Laura Marling record and am really enjoying that.

It's a bit 'singular' in places - some popular, some obscure and some 'acquired taste' .

I'm in sunny York now - well, it's not exactly sunny but it is quite pleasant.
