Why do you need a second drive? Make sure you buy NVMe M2 SSD, like the Samsung 960 Pro, which is extremely rapid. You can get them up to 2TB. If I was fitting a 2TB M2 SSD then no, one drive would be plenty, but I'd say a 2TB drive is a bit pricey. I'm a bit out of touch on new SSD's what's the difference between a standard M2 drive and a NVMe? Was only thinking 2 drives for a fast boot drive and slower storage drive as I have a load of music I'd prefer to keep locally and not have taking up onedrive space. The other option is to invest in a NAS.

Well I think the time has come to replace the PC I built about 10 years ago. It was a good spec in its day but it's showing its age. Quad core amd, 4gig RAM, 60gig SSD.
I'm looking to replace it with a mini PC of some form, but trying to keep the cost down. My current preference is a Dell Optiplex 3070 micro with a 6 core i5, 8gig RAM, 256Gig m2 SSD and space to fit a second SATA SSD for additional storage.
There are similar types of machines available from lenovo and hp but dell currently seems the best price especially via the dell outlet.
Can anybody recommend anything else? I did look at the Brix but they only support a single drive.

Very torquey! Only 280nm maximum from mine - then again it's a petrol boxer and revs to 7600rpm. Martin the 2.2 produces 340NM of torque out of the factory, you could drive the manual with 3rd and 5th gears only quite easily.

Sounds good, the 2.2 is a great engine.

What age civic is it? I drive a 2.2 CDti. If it's the same engine you need to be carful how far you go with the remapping as the clutch is the weak link in the chain and quite likely to need upgrading to handle the extra torque produced.
The clutch in mine is on about 80,000 miles and if I floor it in wrong gear it will slip a little.

Has to be Nirvana, great to hear there songs with an acoustic arrangement, and was recorded only shortly before Kurt passed away.
I'm also a fan of Eric Clapton.

Great acoustic-ish gig last night, with acoustic versions of the songs with a string quartet.

I was running a leak stereo 20 with all exposed valves, so I moved all the hifi into an ikea sideboard with glass doors. I'm sure it's not the best hifi rack but it has stopped my 3yr old and 1yr old girls from burning their fingers.
I also got some outriggers for my narrow floors standing speakers and they have been great my 1yr old is now pulling herself up on everything to walk. Without the outriggers she would have pushed the speakers over by now.
If I didn't have valves I probably would have managed without an enclosed rack, but I didn't want to risk burnt fingers and damaged original mullard valves.

You must be impressed John, if you've put the SEG up for sale already.
Following this thread with interest, the D70 sounds like an interesting Dac.

One of the supercap ones from John Kenny or John at Temple Audio would worth trying. I have one and the other will be here soon. You're welcome to drop by again for a listen. Clive, I'd be very interested to hear your thoughts on the John Kenny Power supply, I have been following his and others progress down this route on an Irish forum.

On mine it true Isobarek as a frame between the two drivers The other has about a 10cm gap but this has no affect on sound quality In some ways I think the metal frame is a lot better approach as becomes a more modular design and you can suspend the bass drivers Cables are swapped around on one driver John do you have 2 selenium drivers facing each other in your speakers? My father's OB's are using Banstanis drivers with a single Selenium bass driver each side. Based on one of Vic's previous designs. They sound great, but are a little bass light IMO.

Really looking forward to seeing some reviews of this new version.
I'd be very interested in how it compares to a hot roded SEG like Martin's

Martin, out of interest how much better do you think the Pi and digione is compared to a the squeezebox Touch? And what happened to the battery and DC-DC converter?
I've been using a touch and lms for years but keep considering moving to onto a Pi based solution having built a Pi system for my old man using picoreplayer and IQ audio dacs.

Seriously considering updating my squeezebox touch to a Raspberry Pi but don't know to go with a full Dac like the Boss or a digione feeding my Bushmaster 2.
