Anything with the silly name platinum tries to justify a high price.
If it sounds as good as Qobuz and has one Hifi sub and the rest low Res in a family cobfig, it would probably be okay it for me.
Having Qobuz and Volumio sub and Spotify family adds up to more I would guess?

Still need to be careful what we ingest. How they make those sweet milks deserves scrutiny. Oatley in particular!
This is an interesting vid. Not about milks but about food history, clever wording and ingredients to fool our body (I the mean American body 🙂).
We have no defence against the Dark Arts of modern food production.
It's availability, advertising, taste, reactions in our systems. Live what has become a 'normal' diet / life and you are a revenue success / clinical statistic.

From a Qobuz recommended! Turn it up and it's "You're only supposed to blow the bloody doors off" 30Hz at first, then 20Hz on tap with plenty of energy. Whole album is like it no doubt. This one certainly is The 'Nike' track is something that would be at home in The Expanse Beltalowda dodgy nightclub bar😂 A must listen Martin Eartha😂😂

Well, that was interesting. No need for a Takla Makan setup🙂 Here is the first 30 secs, the most deep bassy bit really. Interesting that there is little or no 60, 50, 40Hz bass at all. This is where most speakers are tuned to boom, for effect! Lowest bass string on a 4 string bass is 41Hz. Most bass players didn't want to play that low because it's not very easy to hear on boggo monitors and audio gear. So their skill was lost. Think John Entwhistle fretting away. Bass light speaker listeners might think - "nothing special about this Yello track!, What are Martin and Steve on about?"🙂 But there's huge 20-30Hz energy - as we know. Shakes the room at quite modest volumes. Later on in the track. 50Hz has made an entrance🙂 Thank you Yellomeisters👍

Will do.
It's horses for courses with my set up.
I cut quite a lot of dB at 29Hz and some at 56Hz (room modes).
Without the 29Hz cut tracks like Dark but just a game (Lana), Little Moon (Gone gone beyond) River (Ibeyi) and Solen har gått ned (Veronica Maggio) especially, & others would be so bassy you cannot listen to them.
It was a different freq and set of tracks in our previous place.
With careful tuning (rough by measurement firstly, and then refined by playing these tracks and adjusting by ear), I get the effect I want, nay crave!🙂
Sofa vibrating on the Nurse Droid track for example, room echo / pulsing on Toccata and Fugue by Lional, on the huge organ overrun, as a Church would echo or reverb or whatever the word is, but keep it perfectly musical on other stuff.
Takla Makan is one of those tracks that has suffered a bit at the hands of the above. I've had it more spectacular and room bending than currently.
It's a fine line as you are in the hands of the mix and master man/woman.
One size can never fit all.
I haven't gone so far as different bass responses for different tracks though. If it were possible to automate I might, or perhaps to maximise demo impact. I have up-to 8 storable presets, instantly available in Najda. More than enough. Probably only need 2. For most normal 40 or 50Hz bad tracks it wouldn't matter which even.
Hmm might try that🙂
The radio played Queen - Another one bites the dust, this morning. That was the first track that got me into bass. It's not deep, but punchy and it makes the track.

If you have a screen you can turn it off or face down as soon as your music selection is made - darkness.
I used an old Google Pixel XL as interface device. That battery died totally, when daughter borrowed the charger and it ran down totally. Now I'm using an even older Motorola G5. Any old Android will do🙂 Doesn't need to be a tablet etc just to cue music. In fact the Moto shows me the next 8 tracks, without scrolling down and has all the functionality of a big tablet screen. I'm not that into album art, can zoom in anyway.
This way my main phone is free for Tapatalk, Instagram, News, by Jove even a phone call😱😂
Get Qobuz up and running.. You'll never look back

Here's a max hold screenshot. Of the Siren Singing track. I've muted so the current yellow line is out of the picture. Nice level of energy at 25Hz. Only little more tuned for mass market speakers at 50Hz.

Agree with all.
I like some of the 'effects' though, Siren Singing for example. The far/back wall is pushed back about 6ft and springs/snaps forward like a rubber diaphragm 🙂

I found Midnight Mass excruciating! Sitting through hours of mindless Bible babble for a few seconds of seeing some / most of them burn.
Genius! Really captured how some human minds (esp in collective delusional pressure) will find / cling to anything to justify their view and strengthen their personal power.
When can we have a zombies vs 'angels', I mean vampires series?

I've just spotted that Spotify have changed their EQ system so that now you can make manual changes across the spectrum. Strange that you don't get notified of these updates, or maybe I just missed it ... 60Hz 😂

Mia - I like. Great pop on the vocal and attitude.
All should be readily available on Spotify. Qobuz not!

I get some interesting suggestions on Spotify but also curious ones - not sure why it thinks I want to listen to the new Beyonce album ... I wish the homepage was customisable so you could get rid of suggestions you don't want. Always seemed strange to me that you can't. You must have googled / mentioned her in the vicinity of your phone, Alexa, Google, Smart watch etc 😂

The Freddie King track at the beginning of this thread - much better with video. I believe it was live in Stockholm.
