Remember seeing them on Ebay a good few times and the price gradually coming down each time. I wonder did anyone buy them

Here are a few more The Rockport built like a tank I heard a Rockport quite a few years ago at a dealer friend of mine.
He started the comparison with a well set up SME 30. That sounded awesome as you'd expect.
He then swapped to the Rockport. OH --- MY --- GOD
The Rockport simply trashed the SME30, made it sound small, closed in and constrained.
It may look weird and cost the earth, but .....

1st one Sota Millenia actually looks much better in the flesh Piano Black finish. Most people think its a Sme with a outboard Psu & Vacuum Pump fills a double width rack over 3 feet wide 2nd one Funk Firm Saffire III with a FXR II arm most people can,t decide what looks better the Funk or my Oracle

Thanks,Martin. I messed up the pic. Pete's CCM (counterweight for the common man!)is an alternative to the Origin Live structural mods. Every bit as good albeit with a different look. The VTAF with teflon insert was the real revelation. it wasn't the easy adjustment of the arm that was the difference maker, it was the decoupling of the arm. It lent the arm many of the qualities I've enjoyed with unipivots, yet actually enhanced dynamics. That has whetted my appetite for the Woody. Right now, it's just too expensive to justify but I never say "never".
