Yes, the lettering was obscured over the millennia so the Trek characters called the returned 'upgraded' probe Vyger.

Weird....
It is a joint award for my more humble example, not only mad but also ugly. I give you the NAD 5120:
I'm sure someone will tell me the arm is a masterpiece of design but it just looks so odd, couple that with the 'styling' of the deck as a whole, well....
However; when I auditioned it sir, it sounded better than many!!

This is mad but quite cool: Simon York 45rpm only turntable. Dunno why but i immediately thought of the Braun 'PS-2'! It was a three speed deck but only had a 7" platter.

That's the first time I have seen a piece of steam driven hifi. I wonder if it is a wood burner.

I expect it uses coal, a good old fashioned flat earth fossil fuel! I've actually seen one or two different examples of this on the web over the last few years including one driven by a model engine amusingly called a Mamod-ophone! But this is the real thing and beautifully made as well....
It is actually an air engine rather than a steam engine but it still requires a furnace! The principles of how air engines work:
