Alaska While you were at Teddington Lock with Mr Lucas & Co did you par-take in a listening session in the special 'treated' auditioning room by any chance? If so was their 'Reference system' in attendance? yes and yes..... You have to spell it out for me.....

The mag is, however, dreadful and getting worse. Having "HiFi" in the title is, in itself becoming increasingly hard to justify. I hear you, but the facts of the matter are that WHF have been rather blatant in promoting those products which seem to have a lot of advertising within the very same pages; their findings are often in violent conflict with other magazines and common experience; their magazine, as you say, is dreadful. How is it that WHF has such a bad reputation yet, for instance, Stereophile garners quite a lot of respect? It's about quality and using journalists of a sufficiently high consistency that their findings can be relied upon.

yes and yes..... You have to spell it out for me..... I thought as you have been in that particular listening room you would care to comment on the the actual sonics delivered by the room. Was not a loaded question.

Apologies. I am not defending the mag or their test room set-up or their choice of test equipment. I am simply pointing out that most of the team are good guys and very knowledgeable. Some of that gets lost due to the confines in which they are forced to operate...

Some of that gets lost due to the confines in which they are forced to operate... I would however say that they have chosen to sell their souls to that particular devil.
