I'm not really sure where you're going with that, Alan, but I'd be glad to hear Colin's own reasons for leaving.

Well done Colin for getting back to us! It's really nice to see you here again.
Dare I ask how are things? It sounds like you've been through the mill.

Hi Martin, the last few month have been hell, and the fight is not over yet. I am in and out of hospital, lost my home, staying with family and lovely old friends. It has been like a soap opera but real life. So due to illness and bad choice of new friends and no income from TQ or any other it has been hell and at 6ft 4in and having a Citroen C4 I can say the sleeping arrangement are not good.
But Howard of Answers contacted me and has given me hope of doing something I wanted to do at TQ. That is make kits for affordable Hi-fi and screw the greed that all over controlled companies have and there Gag orders within the company. IT IS CALLED BULLYING and enough is enough. I was not allowed a FaceCrap page but the day I was forced out, TQ had a FaceCrap page odd eh. I was not allowed to talk to anybody at shows, to the point I was excluded from shows, and many more things done in the name of greed and control.
OK rant over heart started few. Now for Coffee and fun with electrons.

From my short dealings with Geoff, I can believe all that gagging shit. There is a limit to how much your workplace should control your personal life. Very sorry you've been through all of this. If you want to talk some more about how you lost your home, feel free, although it's completely understandable if you would prefer not. Glad at least that you are connected again.
Is there anything that we as a community can do for you to help out?

Colin it sounds like life has been chucking it at you pretty badly and knowing all too well myself the dangers of getting into business with those who, shall we say, have a different view of the world, I really feel for you. I have had a just small taste of what you must have had to cope with and know that the best thing for you is to have a plan -you sound like you have got one already, so that's fantastic. As Martin says, if there's anything we can do either individually or collectively, then please let us know. Whereabouts, roughly speaking, are you based in the UK?

Is there anything that we as a community can do for you to help out? Yes - dont buy TQ products and throw what you own in the bin , thus when they go bankrupt , he can laugh his head off and have his faith restored that the world can sometimes be a good place .

I understand the sentiment, but throwing what I own in the bin isn't going to help Colin.

No never throw things away, then like me you can fill the house you had with junk and when you and the X part, she can dump it for you with all your other private stuff, and things Mum and Dad bought you for your 21st. Bitter yes you bet, angry no, you make mistakes when angry. Keep calm and listen to music. Like Road to Hell, I wanna be Free. Never it a wonderful world because it is not.

Costings for plain PCB have come at last. These have no components fitted or heatsink or chassis.
S.E.C.A. Amp Kits :- Main A Class PCB Mono £20.00 each Power Supply to make super A Class Mono £20.00each You will need two Main PCB to make stereo And two Power Supply PCB to make dual Mono.

I understand the sentiment, but throwing what I own in the bin isn't going to help Colin. it may give him a small temporal satisfaction from such a gesture of solidarity . and i would draw a parallel with he ivory trade , nobody now wants the tusk of a dead animal as an ornament even if it is historic ivory from a time when we knew no better , I look forward to a day when it is socially unacceptable to use TQ .

When I find a better speaker cable at a reasonable price, I'll gladly dispose of it (of those I've tried, only NVA LS7 has equalled it).

Depending on the complexity level, I'd love to buy and build one of the kits when they become available. I can solder reasonably well but know squat about electronics. If it's akin to electronic meccano, it will be fascinating. Am I hoping for too much?

I'm interested as well.
I'd want dual mono, so 4 circuit boards.
Are all the components easily available from RS or Farnell ?

Careful, you'll have Speedy Steve building five stereo pairs for his five-way horns

when you and the X part, she can dump it for you with all your other private stuff, and things Mum and Dad bought you for your 21st That is very, very nasty. Even when I split with my 2nd wife, and we were hardly on speaking terms, we didn't do that to each other. In fact, the financial split was quite amicable and fair.

I understand the sentiment, but throwing what I own in the bin isn't going to help Colin. I agree and I really doubt anyone would seriously do such a thing. Besides, somebody would probably dig it out of the rubbish at some point and EBay it! Personally, if I wanted to see TQ get their "comeuppance" I'd look at getting a low cost/high vfm cable out there that's every bit as good as their mega bucks stuff. I'm not sure how feasible that is, what with patents, gagging etc but it can't be any less realistic than chucking away a grands worth of cable IMO.
