Brilliant win by Lewis today, shame about Bottas at the end, he did a great job of holding up Vettel. Ditto, Hamilton was class this weekend and deserved the win. As you say, feel for Bottas, would have loved to have seen him on the podium in at least second place.

LH44 showing his God given class today.
Tomorrow though will be all about that start. It's a long old run down to turn 1 so plenty of speed, frenzy and potential for clattering going into first corner.
Hope Hamilton manages to stay in front in and out of that first bend .....

Great race by Lewis, although now he’s under investigation for the incident where he crossed the grass after going towards the pits. Hopefully it’ll sort itself out in his favour! Would be a shame if the win is taken after such a great drive. 5 seconds would put him second, sad but has to be better than a DNF or still behind Vettel so I think he'd take it and see it as a plus after yesterday and P14. I hope he doesnt lose the win but some will moan their heads off if he doesnt get some pen of some kind, such is life

Absolutely superb win from Hamilton. Raikkenon said it was very difficult. All things considered has to rank right up there with LH's best performances and Merc thought so too - His race engineer said 'Miracles do happen' which just goes to show how Merc felt it was stacked way against, going into the race.

Super drive from Hamilton to come from last to 2nd. Very lucky that the shunt from Raikkonen did not leave him with a DNF which would have been very damaging to his title chances.
He wears his heart on his sleeve AND is very hard on himself which is often misunderstood - It is clear he was very disappointed with himself and how things turned out. He wanted the win of course but also for the fans and thats genuine.
'Humble' means showing a modest or low estimate of one's importance. This wasnt a case of him thinking of himself highly or important. I saw dissapointed and down and that he needed a few mins to just collect himself which he did.
His start was very very poor and at the end of the day was why he was where he was when he got hit - He has to look at that and sort it quickly (not the first time his starts have been an issue).
He and Vettel are likely to be P1 P2 throughout the season, Vettel clearly knows his starts are generally better / faster and the place to snatch it.
Hamilton has to stop this being where all Saturday's hard work is undone - could cost him the title too.
The Ferrari is the slightly better car now I'd say. Vettel knows he's pretty much right up there with the Mercs and is loving his car / is confident.
Merc and Ham know thay have work to do.....

Harbeth and Spendor often get spoken about in the same conversations so thats a good thing.
Just to clarify I'm after floor standers like the D7, size-wise, so wife friendly / attractive and above all else sound good, hence the interest in D7's.(Prior to that I was close to trying some Spendor S8e's)
The D7 is said to be easy regards placement too which is another plus.
I have a Billy Vee close by so may pop in whenever I get the chance and see if they've some I can listen to.
If they have I might even be cheeky and see if I can get demo in my house (Dont ask dont get)

Anybody have experience of these ? I know Clive197 has and he's kindly shared his thoughts - Anyone else ?
I'm looking to upgrade my Mission 752 Freedom floor standers before the year is out.
I've loved the Freedoms and want a genuine upgrade that shares their qualities ie:
Non fatiguing, great in the mids, vocals etc, natural sounding, balanced and detailed (hence Spendors were suggested to me a while back and I've been drawn to the brand since)
Room is Wooden floor, 4 meters by 3 meters
Amp is completely re-built, upgraded, re-capped Sansui AU-919 and a heavily modded Technics SL1210 MK5G with Ortofon Cadenza Black mc

Well done Lewis - top man, 4 time F1 World Champion, joins a very elite club and it isnt over yet.
Pity about the shunt but thats F1, always happens. Shame it denied him a podium today - Doubt he'll care though, it's job done !

That was possibly the most awesome qualifying lap I've ever seen. The speed at Suzuka is breathtaking and certainly separates the men from the boys. The race start tomorrow will be interesting. Can Vettel get ahead into the first turn?Without clattering into our boy or anyone else for that matter

Another fabulous pole and fastest ever at Suzuka for LH44. He has now secured pole at every track.
Seb will join him in P2 on the front row due to Bottas's grid penalty.
We may have some kind of a race if SV doesnt have one of his head-rush moments at start for turn one.

LH44 due to make an announcement today. Rumours are retirement, signing a new contract with Mercedes or a move to MotoGP.
I hope he signs another contract with Mercedes, he's the one who keeps me interested in F1 currently.
Dont go yet Lewis !

Hamilton did exactly what was needed to bring the points home. Goes back to the top of the table (just). I liked what Ocon and Stroll did, and Ricciardo was superb. Alonso's whinges are getting a bit tiresome. Yep, agreed on all counts. Where LH currently is is well deserved, he's remained focused and done the biz under pressure no question. Singapore wont suit the Mercs on paper but they'll do all they can thats for sure. Alonso is just totally fed up, edgey and moody as a result

Absolute class Hamilton all weekend pole win everything, a great drive. Bout time he had some luck. Top drive Bottas. Great race towards the end - exciting. Only one point in it now at the top from a previous 20. What a difference a great drive and weekend can make. Can only imagine how chuffed Hamilton must be and at his home grand prix. Needs to keep pushing though, plenty of races still to go. GLad Raikkenon made the podium despite looking like he might not near the end.

Stonking Pole from Hamilton ! - very impressive.
He now needs to win with Vettel behind (not second) to start closing the deficit
