The Purple one certainly could spank that plank. I wish he'd played more and sung less.

Surprised me As Stringer says more guitar and less singing would have been good

That's sad. I've enjoyed many of his works. A very clever man.

R.I.P. George. "A legend in his own lifetime" is a much misused phrase, but I genuinely think it applies to George Martin. Hard to imagine what popular music would have been like without him. His like will never be seen again. Forget about The Beatles, though. This is George at his best. Well, a fine interpretation, anyway: Just been on the news Tony Barrow press officer for The Beatles (used to do the sleeve notes for the lps) has died at the age of 80. It was him that coined the term The Fab Four.

He was certainly a character and his Parkinson appearances were wonderful with real chemistry between the two.

Ali and Swarb, both immense in their own fields and both losses that can never be replaced.
Of course, it's not the first time Swarb has been dead. In 1999 a newspaper mistakenly published news of his death. Not one to miss an opportunity he photocopied the article and signed it for fans at his gigs...for a quid.
R.I.P. the two legends.
