No restraint on prisoner, female officers for a rapist, no actual guard anywhere near the prisoner, nurse who looks exactly like his victims (who seems to have feelings for him already), lying in a bed right across from his latest victim. I'm sure there's more but I was browsing my phone at the time and not really watching it. And why does Gillian's character whisper all the time? Another police drama that makes them out to be morons. Escape imminent lol All we need now is him jumping from the 3rd floor and giving us the superhero landing. And if anyone says "Sorry for your loss" or "Not on my watch" I'll scream

It's a little bit cod (what Police series isn't?) but I still find it quite compelling drama.

True, don't get be wrong I love watching Gillan Anderson but TV Dramas/series are being severely dumbed down these days for a certain market I'll keep watching, over the top of my iPad/phone when my wife is watching, but it's bad when even she picks holes in it as she normally tells me to be quiet lol

Of all recent such dramas, The Night Of seems to portray the NYPD in a true light, and it isn't very pretty.
Silent Witness is quite the most laughable.

I think my wife is fed up with my "they'd never do that" and "well that's impossible for a start" type comments...which of course encourages me.

I try not to do that myself and I don't want anyone talking to me when I'm watching something!

I think they probably assessed his post op level of threat as ' couldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding' so from the inside that would be okay. As for the public attacking him. A female officer could probably defuse that situation / call for back up just as effectively. Equality...

It wouldn't make sense without the previous two series.

I avoided it before. Not my sort of thing although I go for Beck, The Killing and similar I also found The Fall slow and padded out

Westworld certainly made an impact, it's going to be a keeper.

Westworld certainly made an impact, it's going to be a keeper. Watched the first episode last night having recorded it, and currently not sure, I certainly liked it, but not sure I got it. Maybe it'll take a few episodes.

It wouldn't make sense without the previous two series. Haha Martin. It doesn't make sense if you watch any of it, total trash compared to a good Swedish crime drama. Absolute rubbish IMHO cliché after cliché and just utterly unbelievable

Maybe it'll take a few episodes. I'm of the same mind as pjdowns I think. It was very well done but all a bit disjointed I felt. I know they have to introduce us to concepts and characters but it did feel a bit like they were ramming it down our collective throats. I wasn't impressed with Simon Quarterman as the sweary Brit scriptwriter. Ed Harris, on the other hand, makes a very good sadist. Anthony Hopkins could phone it in and still be good. In fact...

Allow me to stretch the drama point...
Some very good episodes of Grand Designs recently Drama in architecture if you will.
I was going right off it with the massive budgets, kitchens and lounges the size of airport runways
Give the latest series a watch or two. The last one with bendy wood was something very special
