If anyone's considering "Bay Of Fires" (on ITVX) I thought it was fairly decent, with not as many laughs as I was expecting, but definitely as many two-dimensional characters.

At last some proper Scandi noir to watch - Jana is streaming on iPlayer. It's about a young Swedish prosecutor with a deeply traumatic past coming back to haunt her. Liked what I've seen so far, good production values. www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m001z7p0

I'm not sure about Jana yet, good start but there are hyperbolic elements and some quite unnecessary effects with water symbolically bludgeoning us with how disturbed she is.

Lol - yes they overdo the water FX a bit - it's never going to rival the best but an entertaining watch for me thus far ...

"Bodkin" on Netflix was pretty enjoyable we thought. I gave episode one a go tonight. I shall be going back for more.

Dark Matter E7. This one's a doozy, getting more twisty and beginning to become quite difficult to tell 'them' apart.
The build-up is great and the ending is right on the cusp of the main event in the book where things get REALLY complicated.
A superb episode.

Sugar - Apple TV
Pretty good. A private detective specialising in finding people is contracted to find a missing woman There are 'things going on' that are not clear. More is revealed as you go on
The last couple of episodes reveal way more than I thought
No spoilers ! so can't tell you more

We're watching Truth Seekers - with some of the 'Shaun of the dead' crew. It's on a Doctor Who level with a bit more gore. Can't say I recommend it, but it's filling the screen 🙂 Not a patch on SoD, Hot fuzz, Paul etc. But they were films..

I quite enjoyed "Truth Seekers" and I thought it improved as it bumbled onwards.

The Americans Nigh on perfect Never have anti-heroes been so good to watch. As with Travelers, it's all about the characters.

We're enjoying Bodkin greatly (Netflix). That'll be my Irish great grandfather (mother's mother's side) in me! James Robert Maloney, Labourer, Electrical Engineer, Soldier WWI, Electrical Engineer, born 1883, deceased 1955.
Was a bit slow to start but then really got going.

Something I'd started watching, or re-watching to be more precise, is "Sleepy Hollow", on Channel 5 / My5. Tons of spookiness, horror, etc. and a great sense of humour, plus a strong cast. Jeanette and I watched it ages ago, and it's coming back to me nicely. I'd forgotten quite how much fun it was.
