It's on Apple TV+ I believe. Oh well, never mind.

They'll have to go some to beat Ken Stott's interpretation of the character.

Now that sounds like something I could actually be tempted by . . . A24 and Steven Yeun, that's a good combo right off the bat

Inside 3 Body Problem, Netflix’s galaxy-brained sci-fi gamble from the creators of Game of Thrones I love this “There are certain things that Liu describes in the books, that I still don’t know how we’re going to shoot,” says Benioff. That's scale and I look forward to seeing how they do it. There's one set-piece I can think of that will be pretty tough for them. Fantastic books written in a style like no other author I know. Kudos to Robert for introducing me to them.

Thanks very much, Martin. Are you (or anyone) planning on watching the show or finish the books first (unless you already have)?
I'd like to finish the books but I think that would take all year. I'm tempted to just watch the show.

I'm tempted to just watch the show. I have one more book to go but I won't be able to resist diving into the show.

Ye. Its too bad imo because now the show will influence, I think, what I will see in the books. I've only finished the first book. Who knows though maybe the show will be worth it either way.
One show I've always wondered about is Blackbird.
Did anybody like this one/see it?

I don't think I'm cut out for TV drama, I do keep trying but it's just not my thang!
Still, I gave it a go and you never know . . .

Never mind Tim, at least you survived the experiment unscathed!

I might go back to it at some point, might not have been in the right frame of mind . . . that happens a lot with music, "first play not so much, second play . . . actually this isn't too bad"
Never say never

I've been a bit rough lately, so I wanted something fairly "easy" to watch; something that didn't require too much input from my brain. "Halo" was what I decided upon. Derived from a computer game I thought there was a fair chance of it being not too cerebral. Well, paint me pink and call me Jennifer, it's excellent. I'm only 3 episodes in, but the vibe for me, is of The Expanse. Not the plot in any way, but the general "feel" of the show. Apparently, season 2, which has just been releases, is even better. It's on Paramount+
One which does require one's brain to some degree is "Under The Banner Of Heaven. It's based on a true story, and it's very well done. It's awfully easy to see why it upset the Latter Day Saints (Mormons), and angered their opponents in equal measure. There are excellent performances all around I'd say. Christopher Heyerdahl (not buried under makeup for once) as the Lafferty family patriarch is especially good.
It's in ITVX, if you're already strongly "anti-religion", it will probably make you angry.

Hate to be the one to say it but we found The Signal to totally suck. Bad beginning, bad middle and worse end. Cardboard characters and plot holes galore.
Even worse than Constellation which was off to a good start but collapsed under the weight of its tiresome and tedious timeshift.
I'll be carefully avoiding anything new that comes along with the International Space Station as its basis.
