We tried it, I switched it off after the ridiculous scene with the vicar and the USB stick in his house. Shit writing when the plot is driven along only because people don't say or explain what really happened. At that point I wasn't sure if it was meant to be a comedy and a shit one at that. I mean come who the hell admits to having kiddie porn rather than say what really happened? True that... but it's a shame you didn't stick around for the scenes with Stanley Tucci. Yeah that's why we watched it in the first place, we like Tucci.

...I mean come who the hell admits to having kiddie porn rather than say what really happened? Well, if it was a choice between that, or admitting that my Conservative Party membership info was somewhere on the hard drive...

I actually had to stop watching Artic Circle during ep5, ironically just after the dialogue "This is bad isn't it?". She was so right. The plotting, dialogue and acting became almost parody it was so bad.

Inside man starts off good. Loses its way and became annoying for me

The Peripheral E5: whoa! This has just become a rare 10/10 series.
The imagery is frankly fantastic but the storyline holds it to a high level. Having read Gibson's Neuromancer, this is a part of his writing style and I think the production and casting have absolutely nailed it. I can't even think what comes next, and it doesn't matter. Superb drama.

I finished "11.22.63" tonight, and I have to say it was definitely one of the more successful attempts to port a Stephen King story from book to screen. I generally prefer my time travel stories to be futuristic rather than historical, but I thoroughly enjoyed this jaunt back to Dallas in 1963, and it captured the mood, feel, and style of the era very well thought. I've watched the first three stories in "Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities," and they were quite horrific, which is just as well, as they were supposed to be. If you've got a " thing" about rats you might want to give #1 a bit of a watch with your fingers over your eyes and forget #2 altogether. I'm looking forward to #5 the most - "Pickman's Model". It's based on the HP Lovecraft story, which I know well. I remember a very poor attempt at televising it as a part of Rod Serling’s Night Gallery series, way back when. I'm expecting an improvement. The series is pretty good though, with high production values, and the touch of del Toro, a master of the genre, helps. Although he doesn't put his director's hat on in this show, several of the segments are based on stories he's written.

We too just finished 11.22.63. As you say one of the better attempts. The lead character does some odd things. Went on too long in some places Worth a punt
Will skip Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities as not our thing

The final episode of Undercover S1 was very edge-of-seat right up to the last moment. It really grew into a strongly gripping crime thriller with two likeable but complex characters. As if that wasn't enough, the opening scenes of S2 are heart-stopping!

Here's one for you, The English it's on BBC Iplayer and Amazon Prime, 6 episodes all available to binge watch.
Stars Emily Blunt and a few other well known faces including Stephen Rae. Set in the USA in the 1890s.
Just a pity one of the actors played Tom Hardy, you'll know what I mean when you see it.
We really enjoyed it.

I've started watching Tim Burton's "Wednesday" on Netflix and absolutely love it. It's a development of The Addams Family character who is sent to a school for social outcasts and the new actress, Jenna Ortega is just superb in the role. The locations in Romania and sets look stunning, not much seemed to have been spared in terms of budget. Great fun and nice to watch something a bit different.

2 seasons of Deadwind watched, both killers identified within 5 seconds of screen time. Enjoying it, but they really need to make it harder to work out whodunnit Season 3 seems to have been taken in a darker direction, oh more obvious product placement too, Porsche and Apple. Some wages those detectives are on in Finland.

You're obviously in the wrong job, you need to join The Sweeney... I do seem to have a knack for it, my wife just looks and shakes her head when I’m proved right. I can sometimes also say the next line on a lot of series before they say it, English speaking ones of course 😂 I have a suspect for series 3, think we’re on Ep 3, but I’m not 100% sure this time, must be different writers lol.
