Currently enjoying The Queen's Gambit, The 2nd series of The Mandalorian, and Swedish Police drama Mord i Sandhamn (Murder in Sandhamn) - an idillic spot in Stockholm's archipelago. 7 Series in total. The latter is a few years old and features the rather delectable Alexandra Rapaport - She of Gåsmamman (Goosemother🙂).
Not sure either made it over this side of the North sea, shame if not!
We of course watched Roadkill.

Wow I did just begin the third season of True Detective, it's quite good.
What struck me immediately was the title of the first episode called "The Great War and Modern Memory" as the Director of the show stated in the commentary it's the title of a fairly well-known book in World War I nut circles.
The other thing that struck me as how insanely attractive that woman is that plays the love interest of the main character. Some guys like the Smollett woman from Hulu's 'Lovecraft Country' I'll take this woman Carmen Ejogo and any day, now that's a woman.
A couple thoughts aside from that though...I had actually watched some of season 1 earlier that week and season 3 to me is quite close actually in just how engaging it is.
It could just be a matter of preference both are extremely compelling.
In my opinion the chemistry between Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey and Just the look of them and their surroundings adds something intangible and it percolates into something more than the sum of its parts for me so it's really hard to beat... but I must say season 3 comes close which I'm extremely happy about.

I really loved Series 2, even with its very dark ending. Rachel McAdams certainly steals the screen but it was a great ensemble cast.

I didn't care for S2 back when I saw it though I wish I could get into as I'm a big fan of True Detective when it's good. And also I was a huge fan of Colin Farrel for some his better performances (Phone Booth, Pride And Glory, In Bruges, The Way Back) and have loved Taylor Kitsch in a few roles and Rachel McAdams is a powerhouse in nearly every role. Now that I have this massive flat screen to use at this apartment that I'm renting I'd like to try S2 again.

I've just finished watching Truth Seekers, on Amazon. As I said previously - and like Mike - I'm not a Nick Frost fan, I generally get the impression that he's trading on Simon Pegg's fame and talent, but this was an ensemble piece and I actually rather enjoyed it. The half-hour episodes break it up nicely (although I watched two at a sitting a couple of times) and I think it " worked" as a sci-fi/horror/comedy. It was quite inventive in places, and even had a half-decent twist at the end. Check out the first episode when you're bored. If you don't enjoy it you've only wasted 25-30 minutes.

Churchills Soldiers on Netflix is ok. Covers the original SOE training but tbh it's a bit wishy washy.
Worth a watch though

The Valhalla Murders is a new Scandi Noir series set in Iceland on BBC Four and I've really enjoyed it so far. Brings back memories of a work visit back in 2004 - an amazing place to visit, the scenery is mesmerising.

I've been enjoying The Last Nazis and Inside the Mossad both on Netflix the now. The Mossad ones particularly interesting as they don't seem to give too much of a hoot as to what they talk about.
Some handy lads them.

I've just finished The Americans. That series goes into my very special top category of awesome drama that really got under my skin.
I'm going to miss Elizabeth and Philip.

You wouldn't cross her No way! I still remember "the future doesn't look very good for you, old lady" delivered with icy venom. Some of the things she did, without any hesitation were stunning. Action without any emotion (no spoilers for those who have yet to watch) Being Russian and her background gives licence. This is the *real* world and the series spoilt me for others not in the same category, most.

Star Trek: Discovery S3 E9 is quite a ride. I love the dark Terran world where Giorgiou came from, and I am willing to bet that the cast have a right ball doing these episodes, too.
