I finally caught up with e7 of Lovecraft Country tonight, and incredibly, it got even weirder.

I've left it for a bit. I didn't really enjoy it that much and The Americans has got my full attention at the moment.

I've been thoroughly enjoying it. It's one of the few programs that makes reality seem almost normal by comparison.

Enjoying Rebecca Martinsson series 2. Is it still not available here? I think it's ITV4 or channel 4 that show it, if they will. The new Rebecca has grown on me. If anything I prefer her! In one scene they drive to the next big town to chat to a witness. Kiruna to Haparanda. I looked on Google maps. A cool 4h 16m, each way. Forget how big Sweden is!

I've just watched the final episode of Buffy, having watched it over again from start to finish (in much less time than the original showing took) and I'm not ashamed to admit I thoroughly enjoyed it. For a show that's now 23 years old I thought it held up pretty well.
Back to Lovecraft Country now. There definitely aren't as many laughs in that, and I'm certainly not expecting a musical episode.

No, Lovecraft is deadly serious, mostly. Whitey on the moon and all that!

I watched ST: Discovery S3 E1 on Netflix and the entertainment value continues.

I started watching comedy drama The Duchess on Netflix. Katherine Ryan is very funny in this but only those with a sordid sense of humour need apply.

One episode of Lovecraft Country to go, and according to Journee Smollett, who plays Letitia "Leti" Lewis, " the final episode [is] set to end on a major cliff-hanger." Looking good for a second series then, especially as reviews have been positive across the board. Who knows when it'll get made though, bearing in mind the current pandemic. Still, it's good to have something to look forward to in this day and age.

There had better be a second series of Lovecraft Country, that's all I'm saying.

I will persevere with Lovecraft Country, but I'm too absorbed with The Americans to watch anything else at the moment.
S4 E4 ended in a genuinely shocking way, even though I suspected it was coming.

Schitt's Creek. Sorry, Jules, I finally gave up halfway through episode three. I only stayed the course for that long because it had won so many awards I thought the fault must be mine. It wasn't.

I've just watched the first (30 minute) episode of Truth Seekers, on Amazon. It stars Nick Frost, needless to say Simon Pegg also turns up, looking remarkably like Paul Whitehouse, as his boss, his dad is played by Malcolm McDowell, and Patricia Brake is a spooky old lady. The series was created by Nick Frost, Simon Pegg, James (brother of Peter) Serafinowicz and Nat Saunders. s1 e1: Gus Roberts is the number one installer at SMYLE, Britain's biggest mobile network operator and internet service provider. In his spare time he's also a keen investigator of the paranormal. Gus is less than pleased when his boss Dave partners him up with new recruit Elton John. But then their first job together leads them right to a real life haunting.
I'm not a huge fan of Nick Frost, but I enjoyed e1, and will definitely be coming back to this. It was, actually, a bit spooky, as well as funny. There were a couple of decent jump scares too.
