Grip with tweezers while applying heat to one side, lift then do the other.
Hold new component in place with tiny drop of superglue. Solder both sides.
An LED is a diode so make sure it's the right way around.

The extra 3mm optic fibre I needed to finish the job came today. I've got the 44.1K slot fed from Kali's 44.1K Family Led. I also have another one showing Lock (blue) and empty (red) as a combined light slot. Those two LEDs are so close together on Kali that the 3mm optic fibre covers both! So it works as a dual colour led! Quite a neat feature, if not originally reckoned for. I made a second small block to hold the two optic fibres for this. This pic was taken with the main ceiling spot lights on. Showing standby, a combination of 48K and Empty Leds Here taken with just a side table light on. Showing 44.1K and Lock. At each track change on Spotify it briefly goes to the standby light combo then 44.1K and Lock Leds as the next track is cued up. I can live with this it's perfect! Will have to rename the last two slots on the right. Method and black permanent marker at the ready Even got the lid on for a while until RPi needs stoking again I might put a RPi SD card read Led indicator on as well. But not on the front. Perhaps to the side out of normal view. It's just to check there's not SD action during a power down.

Looks like you need to invest in some Letraset, Steve.

Looks like you need to invest in some Letraset, Steve. Already been said, but then Petea liked the artisan look It's all a prototype and can change, so I figure why bother. It's been like this since 2012 then I added the sample rate holes about a year later for WaveIO, now RPi/Kali. Meths and pen is quickest. I haven't used Letraset since school. Can you still get it?

I used Letraset for all my early projects, up to a preamp I built from a John Linsley-Hood design.

I only said it as a joke, I assumed it had been discontinued years ago. If you want the "real" artisan look though I've got three words for you: Dymo Label Maker.

As a follow-up, Steve, are you pleased with your Kali LED repeaters?

Yeah very pleased. They just work. Part of the furniture now. Just the right brightness. I took one of to the side that shows the RPi card reading green light. Didn't want it flashing in my face. Figured it could be useful to see when read/writing was over when I power down. Not needed it yet

I only power down my Pi to get the SD card out, otherwise it stays on.

I decided to try Quobuz hi-res. Duly subbed to both Quobuz (free month long trial), and Myvolumio (free 15 day trial). Not that I'm unhappy with Spotify premium though! Curiosity got the better of me. Straight away I got 16/44 working and could find most things I wanted to try (not Avratz by Infected Mushroom though?). After trying lots in the Quobuz app and Volumio settings to get 24/48 or 96 or 192 to play in Volumio, and lots of pointers by Martin, finally changing the Quobuz in Volumio setting from the logical 'Highest possible' to '24/192', all sample rates work now as they should! Time to evaluate... The lights on my Najda front panel that are fibre optically conveying what sampling Kali is seeing, dance accordingly too

What do you think of it so far, Steve?
I must admit that Qobuz has won me over. It still doesn't have the catalogue of Spotify but the sound quality is superb.
