Yes will do. I just opened my Nadja case to check how much clearance I have for the Burson's. I haven't opened it since doing the WaveIO, must be 1.5 years ago. Yikes that means my Najda has been in service 3 years! Loved every minute of using and listening to it. There really is no substitute to multi channel all singing all dancing DSP X/O's if you are managing multi way, esp. in a system that's under development or evolving due to curiosity . I remember mounting the board not exactly low in the case, but I used a full height / width case. Ah plenty of room, have 5cms above the existing IC Op-amps. So with those out it will be about 5.5cms. Fellow Burson adopters' have recommended some vent holes in the top as the Bursons get warm. I have already checked and my PSU has the beans to power them, all 6 of. I think I will fit a dedicated PSU for the WaveIO USB to I2S converter too. I've been meaning to do it and have been slumming it using the lazy option of +5v 500mA from the Laptops USB supply. Not the cleanest supply I guess. Whilst I can't say I'm not happy with the existing excellent SQ, any low hanging fruit should be picked. I'll do this separately to the Bursons to ensure I can evaluate each change. Much a to do!

Not the cleanest supply I guess. The I 2S converter will be very sensitive to the +5V rail quality. I suggest you use a very low noise shunt regulator in this position? For instance, the Tentlabs modules are <50nV/SqrtHz.

Yes. That sounds good. I'm running it off the +5v from the Najda supply at the moment. Def better, cleaner more distinction. I've also got a plug in one that I must try.

I briefly tried the plug in one. It's an unknown at to what the noise level is, it was for medical equipment originally, might be good, might not:) The ears tell me it's ok, early days for it evaluation wise.

Here us a single Burson V4 vs 2 of the Najda supplied IC op-amps. Here is the full compliment of pimped op-amps installed. they were easy to fit. Wouldn't it be nice if all 'upgrades' were this easy. I then settled back to listen. Burson give their builds 50hrs burn in and a 'lifetime' warranty. Once the system had warmed up I listened in earnest. My initial thoughts were - Richer more composed, just as much info as before, cleaner. More bass?! (or am I tolerating a higher volume setting? Very impressive sound indeed. I don't need more bass - can always attenuate the tapped horns by a dB or fraction is needed. One older track I found showed up some distortion noticeable on some not so well recorded tracks... This was also pointed out the TNT a reviewer of these op-amps. www.tnt-audio.com/accessories/burson_supreme_e.htmlHeard it through the grape vine did it but so bad it was un-listenable at all - just one feature of the music / playback that I'd not heard before... I've not tried the analogue input stage yet. On a high just now

Big buggers, aren't they? You're so lucky with the spacing! Now give that I 2C converter the clean 5V it needs and it should sound better still

Yep Ritchie has them. there's several of us who have them now. As one of the earliest builders of Najda I think I was one of the slowest to feel the need to mod it... It really is that good out of the box. But things can usually be improved, slightly.

Well, the boyfriend liked my system and the sound it makes. More listening today. He's requested Kingston Wall, a Finnish 80's / 90's band, some form of psychedelic prog, will be interesting to hear. The lead singer killed himself which ended the band.

I'm struggling a bit with my health at the moment but when I'm back on my feet I'll have the time to build some more amps, I'll go for Colin Wonfors class A designs, then I'll be going active. It will be a god project to look forward to.

Sorry to hear that. If you go for Najda you will not be disappointed. The benefits for multi way are so great.

Hi Steve From looking at these prices, www.waf-audio.com/dealers.php?lang=en. Do I need the analogue expansion board? I may have missed it in your thread, but am I correct in thinking that each Burson Audio Op Amp is about £50? Thanks

The expansion board is just another channel, so unless you need 5 way the on board 4 would do you fine. I got 3 pairs of dual (if that makes sense). Cheaper than singles. You need 6 in all.
