Looks great Steve, glad you are getting a good result, rooms of that shape can be difficult ( at least for conventional speakers)

Well yes. Without the configurability of this system I don't think I'd get it to work. I've spent an hour this evening fine tuning and setting up 3 bass impact scenarios, that I can easily switch between. It's all about the bass! The treble just works once you get the SPL right which is very quick to do... It's sounding good / approved? Now to find that track John recommended.

Hehe, found it, sounds fine on my 'Less bass' set up. Lets call that track a wife worrier:) Too much bass on my Middle or More bass settings. They are reserved for earlier 'thinner' recordings that need a bit of ommph;)

Yes that track does not need any more ommph A great track to tell you if the bass is dialed in well as a lot of systems the bass over powers everything but get it right and it opens up a lot of hidden detail

That track can have lesser systems wilting under lack of control and overblown lower end. A potent system test.

Had my first hifi visitor today to the new place. I even set up the turntable: SP-10 / Fidelity Research FR64s / SPU Royal N, Lundahl SUT, Icon audio phono stage to play some vinyl too. My visitor is mostly interested in classical large scale orchestral pieces. He came to visit me about 18 months ago. That was before the 400hz tractrix on the S2s upper mids, and before the Inuke tapped horn amp, and of course before the new house / room ? He was amazed how the horns just worked in room, given the room. Commented on how more conventional speakers would struggle. He was also interested if tapped horns would work below panels or electrostatics etc. With the right DSP integration and correction I can't see why not. We played some jazz on vinyl... Appraisal was, it's improved since last time! Onwards and upwards
I'm quite fancying an Opamp upgrade for Najda. Burson V4's...

Oh yes, but we don't talk about such things here:)
The guy who was here has made a hobby of getting to hear many big and hi-end systems. Several horn systems too. He had some interesting photos to show and listening experiences to tell.
Today I've been painting the workshop floor. Done about half of it. Have painters elbow now:)
Having a Ray Lamontagne evening for rest and recovery.

Sounds like an interesting bloke.
Did you talk much on hifi ?
Can we get him to join TAS ?!
Painting the floor sounds like a good move

Yeah, he's building a system slowly. I think the research journey is very important for him... He's not like me - in a hurry to get there to enjoy it.
I'll ask him.

Yes, me too - life's too short! I've just ordered 3 paris of dual Burson Op-amps for my Najda DSP. These are a plug and play upgrade and are reported to be a great upgrade. Bigger bang for buck than linear PSU and much bigger than DAC changing. Will cover analogue input and output stages. Many in the Najda community have done this upgrade - I've rather fallen behind, due largely to being happy with it and having other fish to fry. But eventually curiosity got the better of me Should be interesting. www.bursonaudio.com/products/ss-discrete-opamp-v4/

The OP27 used to be the op-amp of choice for audio upgrades - I swapped them into my Pioneer PD-91 player years ago with great results. Which Burson op-amps are you using?
