The ladies are in Stuttgart, Playing to win a Porsche 718s and some dosh. So far, qualifier Laura Siegemund has impressed qualifying and reaching the semi-finals having dispatched Haelp and Vinci yesterday. She now faces no1 seed Radwanska who put out an in form Pilskova. Here's Laura for you Porsche in the background Nadal is on track to face Nishikori finals day in Barcelona. You can google for your own pic of the sweaty Spaniard:) it runs off him like water out of a water! Me: I am playing quite well and coming to terms with a full bed of soft natural gut - good for my arm. Just have to be careful not to trawl up the tendon problem doing too much gardening / DIY:)

Laura Seigemund demolished Radwanska. Used every shot in the book to keep her guessing. That's normally Radwanska's ploy but she had no idea how to combat the energy and skill. So that's 7, straight sets wins for Laura to get to the final! Incredible! Ok on to the final. Facing Kerber for the all German final in Stuttgart sponsored by Porsche. They must be happy! Kerber proved to strong and Laura had a niggling hip injury to deal with. She's played an awful lot of tennis! As much as to win a grand slam event but condensed into one week, no rest days! So not surprising against the current Aus open champ and German no 1 it was a match to far. Kerber gets to keep another Porsche Boxster! Two in a row. That's just Porsche greedy
I love racing GT legends online with my car club pals in the Porsche 906. It's a great online car:)

Nadal proved too strong and consistent for Nishikori in the Barcelona ATP500 final. Nish has the fire power, but a more on more in form Nadders on home soil meant that Nish would have to play he A game the whole time, which he could not.

Murray had a good match beating Nadal in the semis in Madrid. Could not defend his title against Djok in the final though. Took it to three sets and it was a good match. Fed was injured for Madrid. Will play in Rome this week. Can anyone stop Djok? He's mopping up the Masters tournaments and it bodes well for The French open, not long to go to that now.
Me, I am getting some coaching for my serve. More pronation - that's the name of the game. I've started playing singles league down here as well. The Pacific Classic Nat gut has enabled me to play more regularly and not get recurring arm probs:)

Roma Masters is hotting up. Djok vs Nadal, Murray, Theim, Goffin are among those still in it. Looking forward to some of these matches. I played singles today, first time in ages, on a wet Astroturf court - boy did the ball skip through! Got beat but not too badly.

Murray won in two sets:) Played well from the start and got Djokovic rattled early. Djok complained about the rain, he bounced his racquet into the crowd (the crowd bit was an accident), the had repeated goes at the umpire too about slippery conditions. Umpire said play on! Murray complained about the resin once but seeing Djokovic rattled by it, he kept quiet.
French open here we come....

Well, perhaps not the greatest match but it was exciting for a while. Djokovic just too good for 3 sets after the first set walkabout. Hard to know how Murray would beat him given their respective games. Murray has to hit through harder and it's not really his comfort zone / hard to sustain.
On to grass tomorrow with a plethora of smaller tournaments around northern Europe:) Building up to the big one!

Yes, I was buoyed by Murray's taking of the first set, the fact that he has beaten Djokovich in the past and his mauling of Wawrinka who is a terrific player. However, the reality is that Djok is in a class of one and no-one can beat him!

One interesting stat from Hawkeye was the pre Lendl Murray's average forehand speed was 119kph. During the Lendl super coach years it was up to 127kph. Guess what? He won 2 grandslams and a Wimbledon. Post Lendl it's settled back to his comfort zone of 121kph. Lots of finals, no cigar! That says a lot about the level of aggression needed to hit past the likes of Djok, Fed etc.
Wawrinka didn't really show us the stanimal within, so easy pickings for Murray.

I wish he and Lendl would have another go at a partnership, he was good for Murray.

Well, your wish and many others wish, has been granted. Lendl will be coaching Murray again!
Pretty much with immediate effect. I'd love to have heard the conversation.
Lets see what the changes are and how much harder his forehand gets hit! Plus how much less abuse will dare hurl at his box
