There have been a number of years I haven't seen much purely down to the repertoire not appealing much but this year I was more fortunate. I thoroughly enjoyed the four concerts attended, with Jakub Józef Orliński's performance perma-etched into my memory I believe!

There are some nonsensical pop or mainstream Prom concerts every year as far as I'm concerned but as long as the vast majority of concerts focus on core repertoire / contemporary classical etc then I'm happy - if they really want to put on a "grime" symphony or the like I'm not going to lose much sleep over it though a number of these kind of offerings can be irksome...
