Wow. That was my thought. The biggest improvement was noticed after wrapping the bnc cable in aluminium foil 😅.
Compared to yesterday without wrapping, the soundstage expanded quite a fair bit. The height, the width, with depth being most significant about 1m or more depending on the recording. Every instrument had more space, more details on the soundscape could be heard from every instrument or voice. The instruments had more decay and were more expressive without overlapping or being dissected from each other. I felt closer to the music. The background darker. Level of transparency improve as if a thin veil has been lifted.
The slight thickness in the sound became lesser and more natural to me.
Most impressive to me was i can hear even the bass ie kicks has more decay.
It is definitely more than decent. Wonder will a 8.25v or better power supply make much improvement to the current sound.

Great result I would say from personal experience the clock cable made a difference. I don't know your cable so have no idea if this would make a improvement. The next two mods on the R26 would be the change the fuse to something like the audio magic M2. Ground all the spare input sockets to a grounding box. The last but not least mod would be the Black Ravioli big feet underneath. All of these suggestions will be a improvement

Thank you all for helping with the implementation of the clock and trouble shooting. Appreciate the help. Really made it much much easier.
I am now listening through my favorite playlist and just couldnt stop wowing. It dint just gave more details, musicality was up a few notches too.
I had already upgraded the fuse to some Ali express silver gold fuse. The R26 is sitting on some unicones that I have for many years. So I think next on the line I would like to try would be grounding. How do you ground all inputs to one box? Wat do u use?

After running in 8 hrs, added aluminium foil wraps on the power cable and bnc cable and sort of aluminium to cover the clock... I had an omg moment...the sibilance is almost gone.. Will report back more.. do u also wrap up the antenna? 😅 That's a good result, you need to discover was the harshness down to noise or a burning in period. Now you are enjoying the music, remove one one of the tin foils, so you can work which cable leaking the noise. You can then look for a nicer looking solution, copper or steel braid etc.

My experience is burning in 8 hours usually doesnt bring in this kind of difference. Any suggestion on nicer looking solutions. It is ugly.

The sound keeps improving. Damien may be right bout the running in. I will test out pulling out the aluminium foil😅

Thank you Stella, I highly suspect the HT cable being the issue. My experience is burning in 8 hours usually doesnt bring in this kind of difference. My experience of the Harmonic Technology Digital Copper III clock cable is that it's very smooth sounding with no harshness. I don't think it's the cable at fault. 'Stella' is Damien, by the way
