Just to say until his post I was not aware of the upgrades / modifications that Tony offered on the LB . I am off to the US for a holiday tomorrow so nothing can be done now . I intend to send my LB to Tony for him to do his work on my clock . Will of course come back and report on my blog thread about what the results are . As I only have one LB clock I will not be able to audition the before and after but I am sure I will be able to get something down when it is completed .

Thanks for you responses guys - 8.25v it is then!
It would be brilliant if you decide to share something of your improvements Tony - fingers crossed!
Surprised at your response to the LT3045 - it's very well regarded amongst those building music servers (my main area of expertise). I'll be using two in series, so hopefully that will work out well. Very interested to learn about alternatives more suited to audio kit.

Had a email reply from LB in regards to the new clock. He has given a ETA of 2 to 3 months before they go on sale.

Well sometimes the breaks go your way on the Maverick forum a friend Richard (@rabski) put up a made by him LPSU . Sent a PM but then read on the thread that some others had already claimed it . Then got a PM from Richard that there was a bit of messing going on and if I wanted it then just pay him . Superb paid and the main reason for wanting yet another LPSU was that Richard said he could fix its output to any voltage up to 9V so had him put it to 8V for use with my Coherent upgraded LB Clock . Arrived today and I am blown away at the quality of the build will be fitting it later and then one more nagging tweak has been crossed off the list . Not expecting too much from this but even if things stay as they are it will stop my thoughts wondering in the what if ..... mode.

Okay new much larger LPSU now fitted and everything powered up . First plus point is it all still works and music is coming out . Next is the one thing I could not change and that is the LPSU seems not to have been used for quite a while . So burn in is back in the house and I am going to need another few days of Tara Labs burn in . So okay only been about twenty minutes and already things are improving which for me is a good sign . As the LB is on 24/7 the LPSU will get the chance to fully warm quite quickly . The really good thing is that it still sounds lovely to listen to and very close to how it was with the other fully burned in 12 V supply that this one has replaced . So I am now very sure this will sound better tomorrow and probably the day after that as well . I suspect any gains are going to be small but any improvement is worth getting .

@rabski - I remember him, but not where from. Wigwam or Pink Fish?
Do you know from what design the PSU was constructed?

Yes Richard mentioned this but it is used for voltage setting and trimming not to display the output voltage hence why it is inside and not on view .

A crude dc blocker though, looks like an off self module from ali express plus some nice stand off's. Those displays generate noise, not a lot maybe 100uV+ depending on the type but I can see why most chaps would use one.
Your S booster imho would be quiter, this one would have more electrical storage IMHO.

New here. Just bought a Leo Bodnar clock and it is on its way. Bought a lhy 9V dc power supply for it and can only be adjusted to 8.55V. Will there be a diffence compared to getting it to the recommended 8.25V?
Thanks

That's pretty close to it's sweet spot so see no issues with your voltage settings. Remember clock cable also helps.

Thank you John! Will be using the Harmonic Tech cable. The HT Digital Copper III is a very decent clock cable.

Besides cable and power supply. Are there any other things that need to be done to optimize the clock? (Short of performing modifications)

Black Ravioli under or cheaper item
Weight on top, like a granite coaster
