Actually, and Tony can correct me, being that it's RF 10Mhz there's probably a correct length you should cut it,to reduce, reflected waves. l'll let Tony correct me, as l believe this is a thing in the Radio Ham World, resonance frequencies, reflected waves etc. Hopefully l am not too much nonsense.

I visited Vic yesterday to test out the clock with his Audio gd DI20he and Topping D90se going to some active Focal speakers and his UM18 bass drivers I feel the synergy between the DDC and DAC really works. Of course his bass is well beyond anything else I heard. In the past I heard the Project Emperor Giesemann OXCO 10mhz clock and it was the most transparent I have heard Vic system sound We reset the Leo Bodnar GPS clock and tested. Both of us struggled to hear differences whilst using the Leo Bodnar with his DDC. I think the best thing about seeing Vic is the open talk we have have around systems as well as our similar ideas for a great YouTube channel.
I know the GPS precision clock makes a huge difference with the R26 and yet with the DI20he makes no real difference. I think the next stage is to try it in Jules system (on the U18) as that might give more information to what is going on
Tony might be able to enlighten us.

I have one thought I use 9v and we were using a 5v power supply

All that happens with more than 5V is that the regulator in the clock burns off the extra volts as heat. I suspect internally it’s using 3.3V and needs 5V min to operate properly, ie to output a stable 3.3V.
My assumption is that the quality of the volts is much more important than the quantity, providing the voltage is within the 5V to 12V or 14V range.

For the last few weeks I been without the zen stream as the USB mount broke I had to go back to using Bluetooth Tried Qobuz and a nice step up from Spotify and YouTube even using BT. Finally got the Zen stream back today. It's like discovering new sounds all again. The Evos sound like floor standers such is the impact of what I hear. I think the clock plays a big part but it's the combination of cleaning up the ethernet improving the clock and having a clean source all play a part Plus having speakers that rise to the challenge

Great news John. l know exactly how you feel, the LB clock and R26, is an incredible combination, the accuracy it brings to ANY recordings is fantastic, and has to be heard to be believed.

I’m bringing my LB power supply comments back to this thread as they are out of context on the router one.
I’ve compared a SuperCap 5V ps with ifi 5V (original version) and Meanwell 7.5V (SMPS). The Meanwell came with the Uptone USB Regen. The best is clearly the Meanwell. Whether it’s the overall PS quality or that it’s 7.5V isn’t possible to say. I’d like to think the voltage doesn’t matter as the extra volts are simply burnt off…but who knows in this game? At 7.5V the LB clock is certainly warmer, maybe that’s helpful for the silicon inside.
How is the Meanwell better? Bass has even better pacing and space around it. Treble has more “air” though I doubt I can still hear real air…let’s just say lower and mid treble. :-) Overall the sound is more dynamic (alive).

Great to hear your report on the PSUs Clive. lt's surprising swapping in and out the different PSU. l haven't tried different voltages,so there could be something in what you say with different voltages.

I’ve just realised that Tony said he found 8V to be the sweetspot so it seems the voltage used does have an influence. I’ll have a play with a variable LPS to compare with the fixed 7.5V SMPS.
