Electric slicer? I would like one of those as I could buy whole salamis rather than expensive sliced packs.

I bought it ages ago when I was making my own bread regularly. It's handy now for when I occasionally cook a large lump of beef or gammon in the Foodi. I can slice it properly, to freeze the excess up in batches.
I can definitely recommend the Andrew James slicer. It comes with three different blades for slicing different things.

We have one of those dual draw Ninjas, it was about £200ish
Quite big and bulky, but it's absolutely changed the game. Cooking times cut in half, energy usage in half....but everything tastes miles better.
We haven't used our oven in 8months as the airfryer has just dominated.
Wonderful devices. Highly recommended

It does taste better though, Mike, partly because you're using little to no oil/fat to cook with. All I use is a spray bottle, which I top up with Avocado oil, and if necessary give whatever I'm cooking a little spritz before putting it in the basket. Same with roast potatoes, instead of putting them in a panful of oil they get spritzed with oil, rolled in a mix of salt, pepper, (and sometimes paprika, garlic powder and onion powder too), and then go straight in the fryer. Same idea behind my Cuisinart griddle/grill. It's amazing, the amount of unnecessary fat that drains off of stuff like sausages, burgers, chops, steak, bacon, etc., not that that will bother you. It's a step up from the George Forman grill I used to have, and they're pretty good too. A lot of my kitchen gadgets are as much about healthier cooking as they are about making cooking for one less expensive r .

You need it to be easy to clean. That means you need to be able to dunk the drawer and basket and wipe clean the inside without difficulty.

Don't overlook a halogen cooker. I have been using one for years now, with the oven now only getting used on very rare occasion.

You can - an air fryer is really a hot air blower. Whether the food cooks or burns is down to your temp and time settings.
