I wonder if it makes a difference with weight on the top as well or instead of the bottom
You give me a thought about trying weight on the base of my E1s Would have to be narrow...

There's another factor for me: the Podiums are riding low on the adjusters and would have little ability to absorb extra weight when Max designed mine to take the 130kg stock weight, not the 160kg weight with 30kg of lead shot in the bottom compartment. There is no more adjustment.

Literally no room for movement then
I'll put temporary weights on mine to test if I still have clearance on the Podiums If not I'll stop right there

I've got gently sloping glass tops to my speakers. Might take a kg or two if the weight has a rubber base or the like ... I'd be interested to try.

Wrist / ankle weights on top of those speakers could work for you
Anything that will stay in place for a while useful to test with Once it works find more permanent weights

Bass isolation from driving into the floor and its attendant reverberation may offer a better sound result.

The trick, as some of us have found, is to combine good decoupling footers with weights.
For components, Black Ravioli Pads with weights on top work really well.
For speakers, Townshend Podiums or other speaker decoupling, work with either heavy speakers or light ones with additional weights.

Bass isolation from driving into the floor and its attendant reverberation may offer a better sound result. A set of these Isoacoustic Gaia came up for sale. The guy was asking too much Saw a review for Stack Audio Auva which I'm considering as a better alternative stackaudio.co.uk/auvaisolator/
