Not quite
Bluetooth has been a hurdle and still not sure why
Can come up no problem, can drop out for no reason apart from being used
Internet can be a problem
A TP Link wifi USB stick may help
Looked around the BS menu yesterday and now aware of what there is available
Spotty was loaded and I played that. Sounds pretty good and better than BT from laptop as it should
The need to access streaming should come to me eventually.
Enjoying the CDs I have just too much

How frustrating.
So Bluetooth is intermittent and also WiFi not good.
In terms of just streaming Spotify a Sonore microRendu would have been just so much simpler. Plug in Ethernet, literally 2 mins to set up via internet browser and it plays music.

I think you getting wifi dropouts might be worth trying a better wifi aerial

There is something fundamentally wrong here. Wi-Fi should only be used for control, not for the stream. The BS should be connected to the router by an Ethernet cable. You really need to connect it up this way for a reliable setup.

The BS is connected to the router with a *Black* cable which must be why it sounds so good  BT is important to me and working slowly on it is bringing improvements If I move my laptop up a few inches the glitching seems to stop. Need to test it over a longer period Moving the BT dongle from left to right on the laptop makes no difference Spot was playing direct from BS and I don't think it glitched once |

How far is the distance between laptop and BS? Bluetooth will only go a few metres in free air.

That used to be the limit but it's down to the chipset. Newer devices can do around 20m or so.

Tangential to the Bluesound
Turned on my Lenovo X1 laptop.
No internet
Plugged in my new to me
TP-Link USB dongle,
clicked on Wifi 2 and connected instantly
Need to do this a few more times to be sure but this indicates an intermittent problem connecting with the X1
Gives me more options to drive the BS
Cycling World Champs taking precedence ATM
BBC iPlayer giving me just over 6 hours of good commentary with lots of shots of Sydney, just down the road from Wollongong where it is all happening

Using the Bluesound as a fine and rather expensive Bluetooth adaptor
Nowt on Streaming, because
No rush anyway
I have so many CDs teed up to play, the album playlist to go through, again and again especially after mods, artists whose CDs I have to investigate more thoroughly and I expect a downgrade in sound if I stream instead of play a CD.
I have stopped buying CDs, almost so will have to go streaming if I want to hear 'that' album, that I don't have on CD.
There may be one thing that persuades me to sign up for streaming. I imagine in the next few weeks or so
