Shame that ERs are so hard to get. That 'Coherent' PSU is just a cheap Chinese Weiliang slightly breathed on. It and the Zero Zone can be plenty improved on.
I'm not being critical, I just want you to understand that you have a way to go before you should directly compare streaming with CD. Believe me, streaming knocks CD into a cocked hat when you get it right.

This was a work in progress report
I've been mostly using streaming to listen to new to me music
CD should still be ahead with what is left to do with streaming

CD should still be ahead with what is left to do with streaming Wow, I think your streamer would have been ahead given the set up as it stands. But you do have a very fine cdp ...

The TAD is a mighty fine CD player Complete bargain when you also add in it is a one box CD player, DAC and Pre Originally sold as a DAC / Pre only the CD was added Black, of course, weighs a ton with multiple input and outputs Have a look at how much is on the back panel

And then the music stopped.
Possibly my first ever play of The Band - Music from the big pink Just into track 1 ....... Don't think that's supposed to happen
Ok. As we are not playing time to plug in the DXE ISO plus jobbies on the cable from the router to the adaptor Walk the dogs Come back. Still not there, Rendu is seen, no music Reboot Wait...... Music comes on automagically Last track before The Band Glitching Patience Sound ok, rolls into The Band and off we go
Patience and a philosophical attitude helps
I'm here for the music with the occasional battle with the kit

Try again later

Cutting off and glitching strongly suggests your internet feed is having a bad day.

What I thought Interestingly... Tried again, no go Reboot Rendu Up comes the music So internet is problematic but rebooting the Rendu brings it back Not entirely logical Captain

I suspect that level of glitching kicks out the Rendu's network connection. I've had very rare bouts of our mast being down and the router trying to hang on to a more distant one. There comes a point where the Rendu gives up and won't recover.

The world's finest hardware and software is no match for a wonky network signal... GIGO, I'm afraid.

Good. At least some sort of sense out of the weirdness
Rendu reboot often fixes problems

I'm in a new place After MartinT visited and showed me things with Android, Bubble and Qobuz I'm checking out new ways of getting to the music Non surprisingly there are weird things going on which I will work through myself to start with. Some definite slips into alternative universes happening Gentle Giant, Steven Wilson mixes sounding better than I remember Using the Sig Rendu SE-UPnP/AV selection instead of the Sig Rendu SE Think it sounds better as Martin thought but so much to take in

Playing Tarwater albums again, I may be addicted Useful having the tablet with Qobuz showing release date and swapping to Bubble for selecting and playing Playlists played with so far So much to discover with Android, Bubble and Q
The big deal
Sig Rendu SE-UPnP/AV in Bubble seems so much better than Sig Rendu SE
Nothing else changed, all kit is the same, just the name, with something going on under the bonnet I bet
I shall compare when at the end of the current Bubble playlist just in case I lose it

Sig Rendu SE-UPnP/AV in Bubble seems so much better than Sig Rendu SE DLNA and UPnP are different protocols, but DLNA appears to be a simplified set of more standardised protocols compared with UPnP's sprawling set. For whatever reason, I have found UPnP to sound better than DLNA.

Another reason why Qobuz playlists are better.
Also, they go with you across devices - you hear something you like, add it to your Qobuz playlist on the phone for listening later, it'll be there when you look at them in Bubble.
