I will will show how many pieces of audio equipment are effected by vibratonal aspects. Wills set up a three axis seimometer while looking the output on an anaylser That will be very useful. Us amateurs can do it with many modern smartphones that have a built-in sensor, and an app like Hamm Seismometer for Android. Lie the phone down on various bits of kit with music playing at normal volume and see how good (or not) your isolation is.

Not to detract from this thread, I will will show how many pieces of audio equipment are effected by vibratonal aspects. Wills set up a three axis seimometer while looking the output on an anaylser and measuring the actual speaker audio output, you never know we may just see something out of the ordinary? Your always welcome Tony, if Mike hadn't mentioned isolation, l probably wouldn't have mentioned it. BTW you can use vibration apps on your phone as a guide, not exact Science, but a great visual tool, as a guide.

Max T was using these a while ago, however we can look at all the relvent sides and show WHY these apsects happen, however i the last two years we have been been engineering ways to over come these 'adding' issues by designing the device correctly in the first place.

Yes it's true, most companies just plonk on some thin rubber feet on a component, and that's it, you could add isolation on boards, psu the list goes on. As you say, it's a bit like having a performance vehicle, with no suspension.

I was pleased to see that Innuos addressed it in their designs.
The accelerometers are surprisingly sensitive. I have a friend who is a geophysicist and made that comment a while back: one of the techniques he uses is micro-seismography and we have discussed several times applying his instruments to audio systems. Unfortunately he is based in Athens and so it has been difficult to realise.

So l managed to have a few hours today with the Zero Zone One PSU and l am really pleased with what it brings, a very relaxed charming sound, lower noise floor, better dynamics. I unfortunately had to abandon running my main SSD drive outside the PC, for what ever reason,l was getting random non boots, not seeing the Hard Drive.
Funny l had a similar outcome with my i7,but not all has been lost, l have added some screening to the hard drive, and surprisingly, l've seem to have retained the same audio quality, this could be simply down to the new Zero Zone PSU being cleaner? Anyway l'll have rethink a solution on powering the drive independently.
So at this stage,l am waiting on two bits of kit to arrive for testing. l managed to get a Intona cheaply, and l am also waiting on a cheap Chinese USB reclocker, only cheap due too AliExpress 11.11 sale, it offers a choice of 3 different clocks, l've opted for the best one, so we wait and see. My personal feelings, the NUC is moving in the right direction, but it's missing reclocking , that bit of precision you get from adding a clock to a PC.
Lastly, l also added another layer of pads for isolation on my 15" Subs, again really pleased. l managed to get my system up to a stupid levels, without the sound falling apart, still retaining the soundstage, excellent news, but not for my ears Will report on further mods

Good the most stable for audio TBH Tony, Win 11 concept is a joke, making old pc's slowly obsolete via stealth, when there capable of running Win 11. l get the cpu security, but can't tell me,that they couldn't have programmed the software to include older cpu and to detect the new cpu added security benefits...Rant over!

They were attempting to force much higher levels of security on users, and I can understand why. Apple force very limited numbers of hardware on MacOS (not even older Apple kit) and Microsoft, with far higher numbers of kit to support, wanted their new OS to be highly secure, robust and stable - which it is. Unfortunately, they didn't account for user backlash when the reality is that natural replacement will do the job over time. By 2025, most users will have the kit to make the switch. I expect Microsoft to continue supporting W10 for longer.

Yes Martin, lt's no wonder Linux is often chosen, and if it wasn't so fiddlely ld give it a try. All l seem to read is people adding script codes, to get some software to complete a task. The whole thing lives me daunted, and l wish the likes of jriver would embrace Linux software with more conviction, then you have driver issues.
Never say never l guess, and l probably need to connect with some Audiophiles that are into Linux.
Still thank God for Fidilizer Pro and AO,if your a Windows user. That's life

Well l was hoping to report my findings on the Intona tonight, but as it stands, l can't get it to handshake. Spent a bit of time on Intona forum, and it looks like the Intona is a stickler for everything being 100% compliant with USB.There seems to lots of users having handshake issues, from USB cables,XMOS issues and power issues. At this rate,l probably use it on my external Hard Drive instead.
