Thought l'd take a quick look inside the lndigo Level One Speakers.
Now prefer you can offer so view points, there dosent seem to be any internal wadding, just a bare enclosure.
l know this is quite common with PA speakers, just wondering should l consider adding some wadding, l must point out,the speakers don't boxy,so l wasn't expecting to find nothing.

You could try lightly packing them with lamb's wool. Try stopping some of the vibration build-up with Dodomat first.

Thanks Martin, having read the only review l can find, looks, like they where intended not to have any wadding.
Funny... l kept finding references from Jimmy Hughes from back in the day, he was advocate of removing his wadding... Showing my age now 🤣 l think the trick is not to go crazy, light dampening.
It's surprising, l also read a thread about removing the wadding out of JPW P1 speaker as a mod. The only conclusion l can get, is to trust your ears.

Yes, light is the key. The wool has the effect of increasing the apparent volume which may help with the bass.
There is a trade-off between opening up the bass and over-doing it with an overdamped sound.

I had a pair of used, refurbished ATC PA65’s. They sounded boxy to me, so I opened them up to find no wadding, but remnants of old fibreglass insulation inside them. I added acoustic wadding from wilmslow audio and they sounded great afterwards. Definitely worth a try.

Well time for a update.. Today's has been a good day, actually a good weekend...
So today l finally got off the canvas, after a few weeks of feeling like l've been knocked out by Apollo Creed, l'm please to report that my R26 replacement transformer is fitted, and l everything is working as it should... A massive Phewww moment. And l actually finished out the mods using Ultraperm80 & CN3190.
And the ending result it as previously mentioned, lower noise floor, and a big gain in lower frequencies, with better resolution of lower frequencies, this just backs up my theory of how much your nice low noise toroid transformer interferes with the rest of your circuit boards if in close proximity. Quite remarkable really, if only Hifi companies would pick up on this, instead of chasing components so much.
So now my R26 completed, l will be focusing on speakers, crossover etc.
Today's a good day!

Great news indeed Damien.
Hopefully the wife will give me a day off from the DIY and I can wrap up the PSUs on the X26.

Hopefully Taff, l'm really looking forward to the outcome of your PSU mods, the Ultraperm 80 will really dig into the resolution of the lower frequencies. Just pleased to be back in the game

Great result Damien The last few weeks must have been frustrating You bet John, not knowing if l fryed the R26, and living with a Wiim Pro, using its audio out, its bareable, but a bit grating at times, but better than nothing. What l can say, as a Digital Transport, the Wiim Pro is incredible VFM and is Rock Solid in use, l suspect you would have to spend a lot of dosh to improve on it as a Transport.

I couldn't say, I've only used one thickness since a pack of Dodomats has lasted me years!
I'm guessing mine is 2-3mm.

I've seen them up to 8mm,but as long as it does it task, plus you'll end up reducing the internal box size,if it's to thick

It doesn't take much bitumen to do the job.

On the border of Shropshire and North Worcestershire, closest town Kidderminster, TBH it's a kind offer, but l can't see it being cost effective if your miles away.

It could be quite similar, Damien. You might need to stick some to a piece of thin wood and assess its damping properties.
