Before l appear on Crimewatch, with my Audiophile County Lines Operation, thought l should give you a update, and not from a cell 😆 Today l have installed the RS to 15 sockets... UK Double Mains Socket by Damien Read, on Flickr I have also treated some light switches, and my Zero Zone and ifi psu's. To be honest, that's a lot of taking things apart, so it nearly broke me. l am Happy to report, this has yet again cleaned things up to a stupid level, additional air ,and a more controlled bass, that still retains the slam and pratt. I played Dire Straits Love Over Gold, and it's never sounded so good, you can really hear into the depths of the recording...Fantastic. Another test track l use is from Danny Wilson first Album, the 1st track called "Davy" has lots of things going on, l noticed that instruments where better defined, sometimes a instrument can smoother another instrument, this was dramatically reduced, and instead of a small micro detail, merging with another sound, l could now hear it along side, not crystal clear, but have remember it had disappeared previously, now its detectable. It's looks like cdacosta theory holds out, by using small amounts, it does indeed absorb any mains dirt on your AC feed. Damien

I thought I was the mad one but hey I feel Damo has stolen that crown lt's all that white powder Tony 🤣 l like nothing more than playing around with ideas, but as wacky as it sounds Rochelle Salt seems to work. But l have to thank you Tony, reducing noise, raises your system to way more than you could expect.

I already have some on the way.
It's not a million miles away from grounding boxes and I've been experimenting with them for years.

Been a little under the weather the past week. Firstly we had to put our old dog Belle to sleep, as you can imagine, it's been heart wrenching. Secondly, my wife and l have had awful colds, and it's only today l feel l am on the mend. Thirdly, my mother is finally living with us, now the extension is finished, and she loves it, so that makes me happy.
l have been off this week, using some holiday days up, and due to way l have been feeling, l haven't been bothered with music, but today l had a great session, and played a bit further with Rochelle Salt. l added to few further places, mainly psu's, l also placed it near my FMC cables LAN and SFC.
To be honest, RC is a on going... and apart from power breaker, where l use 14grams, l tend to use 0.5 to 1.5 grams, as you can over egg the pudding.
l found after my first usage, that the RC had made the high frequencies slightly hot, only apparent on some recordings that are hot to start with.
Following cdacosta suggestions,l had probably added slightly to much too the Live wiring, and the way to balance it back is to add more to the earth. As it happens, something l hadn't done, was place some RC on my ground box...hey presto... The high frequency is tamed, so it's more neutral.
l am looking forward to reading people's results using RC. MartinT sound be interesting, as his set up already has a Sqeeky clean mains, so will be interesting to hear if it makes any difference at all.

Just had a move around on the components,l have had a few days off, and l my set up is sounding incredible. Playing Larry Carlton Strikes Twice really caught me by surprise, haven't played it for a bit, and l have to say, l have never experienced the sound being so good, this album would always sounded "shut in" in the past, it now sounds like musicians playing together. Hot off cdacosta press.... The new compound he is experimenting with is Hexagonal Boron Nitride (AKA HBN). lt was used by US and Russians in the past to hide objects from Radar. Early days, but apparently you need very small amounts, 0.5 grams, and very X Files thing, it works If placed on a Black Object, but is not effective if it isn't black. TBH l've had to check it isn't April 1st, so l remain open minded, what a bizarre discovery..

You could just tidy up a bit? What we really want is a claim that it was developed from Clingon Technology, it cloaks your new Hi Fi purchases from your partner🤣 Damien

So l was going to post yesterday, but decided to wait until today, the first day of the year.
Having reshuffled my set up, l have been enjoying experimenting with Rochelle Salts, and due to the location on my Nord 1ET400A Monoblocks Amps, l hadn't had a chance to hear the effects on RS on them.
Although the Nords are a superb amp, one of the downsides is its PSU, although very quiet thankfully though the audio band, the PSU chucks out an incredible amount of RFI, and this can be heard by turning a radio on and listening to Medium Wave.So you can see, why using RS could be a good thing, TBH it's more of an experiment.
I simply placed a 3gram bag of RS over the outside of PSU side of the amp. After a few repeated plays of Level 42 World Machine, l could detect the RS,it had slightly taken some of the air and speed, very minor, but the effect was there. l removed them, however will return to trying again, from past experiments, using left RS, like 1.5g instead of 3g, so will report back.
l really do have to thank cdacosta for all these discoveries. Next l moved on to a easiest tweek, and one l left to last, as l kind of scoffed at it. l used 1.3g or slightly over 1g of RS and placed over the Blue LED power buttons of the Nord Amps, well well..what a pleasant surprise, a slight but noticeable clearing of mids and highs,no RS suck out. l was so surprised, l did the same for my 3 Zero Zone 01 PSUs, this left me with a big smile, making things more tangible, and deeper resolution. This RS LED tweek is a great bit of fun,and l suspect all our components can benefit. Of course, you may take looks on the same priorities as sound, or your in a battle with the wife, as she cares about looks 🤣
Roll on 2024... And our new discoveries.
