YouTube becomes more impressive by the week Why does it? I'd still need some means of getting Youtube into my DSP / DACs. I doubt YT is at Qobuz quality levels? |

YouTube can be hit, or miss and whilst not the levels Martin can get from Quobuz it's can be impressive is Bluetooth LDAC

'YouTube Music' is currently only aimed at casual listeners. There is no hi-res option and their Premium subscription has a 'High' quality of 256kbps.

It's also £11.99 a month, the only real benefit of which is no ads when watching YT.

Yes but the way BT is coding it makes it sound very good. I am happy to pay the premium and use BT everday. I will shift this to the BT thread as not relevant here.

Jules I know not possible for you to visit me at present but you know my system quite well and I love what get from YouTube via Bluetooth I wish it was possible for you to hear how good it sounds in my system.

Sorry John, I didn't mean to sound unduly dismissive of YT - as you know I enjoy Spotify Premium (320kbps) and some are very scathing of it as an 'audiophile' source in internet land, LOL ...
If you’re happy with what you are getting with YT it goes to show, a bit like DACs, there is much more at play than just the numbers.
When / if they ever bring out Spotify Hi-fi I will only pay the extra if I can hear a worthwhile benefit with my ears, hi-rez or not …

I thought it might be good to share music videos that are well recorded for those that use YouTube premium and enjoy watching live performances or video promos.
Over the last month I have been really enjoying watching music videos and would encourage anyone who has a BT 5 capable phone or tablet to get a reciever and give it a go for yourself
I start of with Plini and Mike Daws two of my favourite modern guitar players
