Is there a way to get this sort of content on Spot or Q ? That depends entirely on who published what and whether all rights are held by the label. Some content is also on Soundcloud, especially artists who do their own publishing. Ultimately, you have to search each streaming company as they vary in what they hold. For instance, a search for Bent on Qobuz gives quite a few releases: play.qobuz.com/artist/365847

Example Looking for a specific Bent Remix I stumbled into YT and there I was into a YT playlist Is there a way to get this sort of content on Spot or Q ? There are masses of artist or themed playlists on Spotify that are curated either by Spotify themselves or by punters.

Did you click on Playlists after doing the Spotify search? It gives you the option to see search results by Album, Song, Artist, Playlist etc

Isn't the original statement Mike made and my question following it now out of context?
So, to put the record straight.
If I recall, Mike commented about YT on the Volumio thread - seemingly due to OTA upgrade from V2 to V3 issues (quite minor as it turned out). I interpreted the comment to mean he was using YouTube and this avoided such issue.
However; If I wanted to use YT, I'd still have to use Volumio! Hence my statement.
I don't see YT as a Qobuz competitor with regard to out and out music reproduction quality or resolution. Catalogue is quite another thing.

I must admit I'm a bit lost as to what we are even discussing now.
Isn't it pretty simple - the 'YouTube Music Premium' platform is a proper music library and a Spotify alternative if you don't mind the slightly reduced resolution.
As Steve says, the general YouTube platform we use to watch videos, music or other would still require me to use Volumio via a plug-in to stream audio to my system. It isn't a viable alternative to a proper music library like Spotify / Qobuz / Tidal etc etc

For me it is about watching a live performance and being able to enjoy the sound quality I can be pretty fussy when it comes to sound and actually prefer it to Spotify if a well recorded live performance My preferred choice for sound quality is files my preferred choice for discovering music is Spotify

Software needs to be better than that, especially for me. Using YT gets around that Another reason for dropping Volumio was the poor results on YT. So much was missing. Currently not interested in squeezing the last percent out of streaming as I only use it for sampling. However the quality sounds good to me. Searching often gives YT as the only result, due to the search engine or the Catalogue available on YT

One thing to note is that Google owns YouTube. Using Google unnecessarily biases search results in favour of YT.
One of several reasons why I use Bing search and prefer its results.

Well aware and noted previously Duckduckgo being used now Here's an interesting one Duck'd world of crime fraction of friction Must be YT, no chance on Spot but First link to Spot YT does not have it !

You won't find this on spotthefly. Love these early recordings. There's a certain integratory to the sound:

Today was the day to compare CD to YouTube
After playing Jeff Beck with Jan Hammer Group I had to hear Space for the Papa
What difference between grabbing the CD and looking it up ? Not a lot in it
Listened to the track on CD Excellent Set up my now working laptop with Bluetooth while CD played
Switched to the laptop pause waiting No internet Hmm
Switch Bluetooth off and reconnect the old laptop If you need something always have 2 for when 1 stops working ! It's been a while now Connect and play Impressive sounds but too long between This with sub optimal laptop
Next comparison with YT first then the CD
