Other than size, what are the benefits of a tablet over phone to control streaming?

Easier search, more comfortable display size.

First test as go-to tablet in Starbucks. Stopped for a coffee, S7 FE working beautifully as a laptop with the keyboard, editing a Word document in Office 365.
In terms of productivity, this thing is rivalling my much more expensive Surface 7 i7 as a go-to weapon. Of course, it can't do the systems administration that the Surface is superb at.

I found the Navigation Bar settings where I could reverse the home buttons to be the common standard of Back-Home-Recents in that order, not the annoying Samsung habit of having the Back button on the right.
Now they match my Oppo phone. It's funny how these little things can annoy.

I'm looking at the Lenovo P11 as an option. Have found one (256Gb) that is two weeks old for £150.
Seems hard to resist as my first tablet for streaming.

The P11 is a decent older tablet. Not sure what version of Android it comes with, you normally only see 3 versions max for any given model.
EDIT: looks like Android 10.

Is there a 'Youtube for dummies' on how to set a tablet up?

The Launcher is the most important thing to decide on up front. The standard Google launcher works well, as does the Microsoft one if you want it to be very Office 365 friendly. There are hundreds of different ones that will customise your tablet experience quite dramatically.

Even I managed to get the tablet onto the network and Bluetooth Shout if you need more help for Settings. Mine were completely different to the YT clip

For what it's worth, I use the Nova launcher across all of my android devices, and have done for years. I think the Premium version, which I use, costs around £3.99 these days.

I looked in my piggy bank, to pay for the tablet. Yikes. I'm £65 in the red. Damn...

I guess it'll surprise no-one that I use the Microsoft launcher on my Oppo phone as it makes it work really well with the Office apps. I also like the quick review screen by swiping right and I love the Microsoft SwiftKey keyboard.
However, I left my Samsung S7 FE tablet on the default launcher as it has a lot of Samsung features that make it an excellent laptop replacement and handles landscape mode particularly well.

Not that keen on the standard Android on my phone or my tablet How easy for a tech reluctant punter to install and is Novalauncher ok even for my old LG phone ? Can one try two or three at the same time ?

Mike, for simplicity's sake, install one at a time, otherwise they might conflict. There is a free version of Nova I'd advise installing first, to get a feel for it without shelling out that £3.99. The paid version, if you like it, simply installs over the top of the free version. Nova Launcher is the freebie. Nova Prime is the paid version. novalauncher.com/www.androidauthority.com/nova-launcher-885296/www.digitaltrends.com/mobile/how-to-use-nova-launcher/You might find that the free version is all you need. The main reason I stepped up to the paid version was to support the developer. It does get regular updates, by the way; it's not abandonware.
