Let's see your all-time top 5 TV Dramas in ranking order. No big lists, just the 5 most memorable and engaging drama series you've ever seen.
Here's mine...
1. Banshee 2. Dark 3. Travelers 4. The Expanse 5. The Americans

Ask me again tomorrow and it'll probably be a different list.

1. Our Friends in the North. 2. Dr. Who. 3. The Beiderbecke Affair. 4. Queens Gambit 5. Fleabag.
I tried to span a few decades (even though there were significant periods where I did now own, nor watch a TV: I still don't in the UK) and I stuck with dramas, otherwise The Ascent of Man would have to be in there.

I also resisted putting anything by Dennis Potter in there, but if you insist then my favourites of his in order are: 1. The Singing Detective 2. Lipstick on Your Collar 3. Karaoke 4. Cold Lazarus 5. Casanova Basically all of them! Didn't seem fair though.

The Beiderbecke Affair. Loved that, and The Beiderbecke Tapes, and The Beiderbecke Connection. I quite fancied Barbara Flynn at the time, and James Bolam was always watchable.

I don't differentiate, John. Broadcast TV is meaningless for me, it's all streaming!

I loved that you knew the name of the would-be supergrass' dog (jason), but never his. I have the 3 series on DVD and rewatched them about 10 years ago or so. Still funny even though a bit dated.

I don't differentiate, John. Broadcast TV is meaningless for me, it's all streaming! That why all were older as streaming is where the good stuff happens Including streaming Ozark Game of Thrones Lillyhammer The Wire Breaking Bad The Mandalorian

Interesting. I thought the TV series was quite poor. The film, of course, was epic - one of the greatest all-time war films.

I think, so far, everybody has at least one choice that has me saying "Bugger! I forgot that one".
