Cool, Paul, thanks. We're you able to get along at all with that original version or this artist.. Not really my cup of tea; it's a bit too chart-oriented for my tastes. I did quite enjoy what I listened to, but I wouldn't go out of my way to listen to more of her. Having said that, I wouldn't leap for the dial to switch channels if she came on the radio either.

Totally understandable, Paul. And thanks for taking a gander. It's amazing to me that one guy can love something and the guy next to him loves something completely different but to the same extent. There's so much to choose from.

Feist is wonderful, really like her style.
I used to listen to The River whenever I visited NY for work or to see my Dad (or both).

First time I've heard Feist called chart orientated! 🙂 May be it's that track - not listened yet.
She is quirky and a bit alternative to me.
Never heard her played on the radio etc over here or Swedish Radio for that matter. Maybe in Canada?

Here's a song from Feist. The first song I ever heard from her while working nights in another machine shop back in 2008, and again on that magical station The River 92.5.

You can't dislike this, Mike. No. I mean it, you can't. That's an order. Listened to this on YouTube cast to Volumio (can sing fine), then on Qobuz / Volumio proper. Omg - The latter quality wise is on another planet or two! Great vocal 👍

Played Feist - Metal
I quite like it.
What I would like to work out is what does she have that I like The music is good. The voice is good, tending only slightly to twee, no yodelling. Well made album

It's an unusual, and challenging, recording and the mic used on her voice has some definite colouration. However, she sings quite powerfully and with great emotion. Catch her on YouTube if you want to see her perform.
