Some more Laytar. She is very musical and that's what I like about her.

Its almost a Plini type vibe but not quite as musical I still like her however.

This is ace guitarist Paul Gilbert (Mr Big) ostensibly advertising a new signature pedal, but it sort veers off in a different direction. Several dorections, actually. The Monkees get a look in, as do LEd Zeppelin, and The Beatles. The pedal itself is one I bought recently, and now they've gone and updated it. What a dirty trick. It now goes up to 11.

Someone I've just found out about on Farcebook: Gretchen Menn. I'm looking forward to seeking out more of her stuff.

The way Derek Trucks adjusts his jacket part way through is coolness personified.

Someone made mention of this in the latest issue of Guitar magazine, so I searched it out. I'm quite glad I did, because it's not half bad.

I could have just called this one "Colin who?" Colin Hodgkinson has worked with Chris Rea, The Eric Delaney Band, Back Door (of which he was co-founder), Alexis Korner, Whitesnake, Jon Lord, Jan Hammer, Paul Butterfield, The Spencer Davis Group, Pete York, and The Electric Blues Duo, as well as with Ian "Stu" Stewart's boogie-woogie band, Rocket 88 and loads more. In 2007, Hodgkinson became a member of The British Blues Quintet, (along with Zoot Money, Maggie Bell, Miller Anderson and Colin Allen). Last I heard he was still playing bass for Ten Years After, who he joined following the departure of Leo Lyons in 2014. Here he is proving that sometimes 6 strings is a bit of a luxury, and you only actually need 4. This is his take on Jesse Fuller's "San Francisco Bay Blues."
