That was confusing. I ordered a new pair of bedroom slippers via Amazon, which they said would arrive next Tuesday. They've just arrived, on a Sunday, delivered by Royal Mail.

Pyracantha
Burglar protection and more
This is evil, for burglars and anyone not taking care The spikes can become very long indeed as I just found out
Also known as firethorn, is a shrub that can be grown as a hedge, free-standing shrub, or trained against a wall. It's a good choice for most gardens because it's easy to care for and wildlife-friendly. Pyracantha hedges are known for their prickly stems, flame-coloured berries, and dense growth that makes them impenetrable to intruders. They also provide year-round cover and can act as a windbreak.
Madam informs me she had to rip a load of it out around a building she managed - for health and safety reasons

I once saw a Sparrowhawk dive right into our one whilst chasing a small bird, I couldn't believe it when it emerged out the other side unscathed. It scrambled it's way through it before it took off again.

I was at my mum's 100th birthday party, yesterday. It was wild, there was tea, coffee AND orange juice.

I know there's no great love for "suuperhero" movies on this board, but this article, about the costumes and makeup, was interesting I thought. Prepare to be shocked by how long some of it took to apply/fit.

Most people will recognise this album cover, but... I'm currently reading Barry Fantoni's autobiography, and in it he mentions that the cake on the cover was actuially baked by Delia Smith. Good luck finding a more obscure and a more useless piece of trivia than that.

Frimley hospital is pretty good
Built in 1973 so when I were a lad
I remember when it was all fields
and guess what
Frimley Park Hospital uses Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (RAAC), which makes up around 65 per cent of the current building. RAAC deteriorates over time and is now at the end of its life, posing a potential safety risk to patients, visitors, and staff.
How does this rubbish get through any sort of building regs ?
A brand new hospital will be built to replace it 'somewhere'

Allegedly.

The ultimate in tasteful, high-class, furnishings for the " littlest room" in the house. Always supposing, that is, that you have no taste whatsoever and are possibly blind into the bargain. And live in Basildon. Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce the European Style Artistic Golden One Piece Closestool Gravity Fluishing Washdown Toilet Luxious Villa Bathroom Seat Toilet
www.aliexpress.com/item/32973317213.htmlThere appears to be a complete array of similar "furnishings." My favourite "Customer Review," is from someone in Spain, who not only had the bad taste to buy one of these but complains " I had to pay 524 € to customs." I'd say he got everything he deserved. Ive met a surprisingly large amouny of people who own this and all say positive things about it. I've been saving up for a new car but may redirect the funds to this gem.
