I don't even need to make an appointment here in Germany. I just pop in and ask and usually only wait about 10 minutes. I had one done last week and the result was back the next day. The same with most vaccinations (except COVID which is only on Thursdays and it is best to call to find a suitable time).

I've always gone to the local hospital for my blood tests, which is great as the hospital is closer than my doctor's surgery, and the "requests" from my surgery are now all electronic, they just give me a ring and tell me what time to turn up. The last time I went they actually saw me 15 minutes early.

Appointment required for my GP but can drop in at the hospital. They do need a blood request on the computer, though.

Our local surgery does still do them, but an incredible waiting time. A blood test !
More info This is a joined up system - as long as you go to one of two hospitals even though the appointment system lets you book anywhere Add to that we are dead centre between 2 hospitals that are in different groups

Unfortunately I have to go around the other way to Potters Bar again. I'll have to take my chances on the way back. Can always come off at the M4 and go down the A33 from J11.

Hey guys my parents are moving to south Carolina. They'll be flying to their new home on June 18th and that same day after dropping them off at Manchester NH airport I'll be driving their car down through all of the states lol to drop it off to them in South Carolina.
It's wild to me that with Google maps and/or waze I can just type in a destination and a voice will come through the car speaker telling me exactly when and where to turn to get me to any destination that is within reach by car.
An old friend has ordered me to divert west 90 minutes from Washington DC to get to Shenandoah State Park in Virginia to travel through 100 miles south on my journey to South Carolina.

It sounds like a great drive, hope you make the best of it and can enjoy some places to visit.
I've been using Waze for years and, before that, Copilot (not the AI) going back to my early HTC phones.

Sort of trip I would really enjoy Loved driving around Europe many years ago. Only difference being different countries and languages Germany wonderful to cruise at speeds over 100mph

I would happily see all flights becoming dry.
Drunkards on flights are a danger to everyone. I've witnessed a few that should have been ejected. While still in flight...
