Mercury is gravity locked to the Sun, always presenting the same face to it. One of the hottest AND coldest planets there is, depending on where you go.
Thats not bad but I'm still reeling from how slowly Mercury rotates. Is that some kind of sick joke?
Don't forget that the Earth actually rotates at around 1,000 miles per hour, so the representation of Mercury is only rotating at a speed relative to that of the representation of the Earth in that animation.

Just out of curiosity is there a sport in UK where the officiating is a constant issue? In the US it's Major League Baseball (MLB).
We use umpires on the field to call the games. I dont think I've ever seen a game where a call wasn't disputed and I've certainly seen many many incidents caused by "bad calls".
In my entire life in all of the other 3 Major sports here Basketball (NBA), Football (NFL) and Hockey (NHL) combined I've not seen as many disputed calls as I do in one season of Baseball each year.
And the players and coaches often lose their mind lol about it and are ejected from the game and have to be held back from attacking the umpire. It's pure genius really. They're ejected from the game by a simple wave of the hand by the same umpire who just made the blind as a bat call that happened right before his eyes. Here's an example.
Football, what Americans call "soccer," is very poorly refereed. There is no consistency from one game ot the next. In one match a high tackle might be a sending-off offence, in another game the player mighft get a stern talking to from the ref, or anything in between. They've introduced video refereeing too, and even that is inconsistent, because it's operated by humans.

Some of the decisions made by the UCI in pro cycling are ridiculous Being thrown off a 3 week stage race you have worked all year for - for what was clearly an accident is about the worst Hopefully getting better as all of us now see slow mo replays

Years ago, anthropologist Margaret Mead was asked by a student what she considered to be the first sign of civilization in a culture. The student expected Mead to talk about fishhooks or clay pots or grinding stones. But no. Mead said that the first sign of civilization in any ancient culture was a femur (thigh bone) that had been broken and then healed.
Mead explained that in the animal kingdom if you break your leg, you die. You cannot run from danger, get to the river for a drink or hunt for food. You are meat for prowling beasts. No animal survives a broken leg long enough for the bone to heal.
A broken femur that has healed is evidence that someone has taken time to stay with the one who fell, has bound up the wound, has carried the person to safety and has tended the person through recovery. Helping someone else through difficulty is where civilization starts, Mead said.
We are at our best when we serve others. Be civilized.

It's amazing how the money / market manipulators win every time.
You would have thought that with mortgage rates heading up to around 6% for some, there would be good news for savers, but no, not really. A typical variable rate ISA pays a paltry 2% or so. Yes you can get a fixed rate of around 4% but who would want to lock into that now whilst rates are only going one way?
Don't forget, an ISA is a "product" that is "sold" by a financial institution, and banks and building societies are not known for their philanthropy. ISAs will always be set up to make banks, etc., more money than they will ever make their purchasers.
